With a strong commitment to excellence and innovation, we are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our financial strategy and operational efficiency.

Job Summary

As a Chartered Accountant, you will oversee the financial operations of our manufacturing unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and driving financial excellence. This role requires expertise in finance, taxation, auditing, and budgeting within a manufacturing environment. You will work closely with senior management to support strategic decision-making and ensure robust financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Management: Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements, in compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and GAAP.
  • Taxation: Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including computation and filing of Income Tax, GST (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C), and TDS returns. Handle tax planning, respond to tax notices, and ensure adherence to statutory deadlines.
  • Audit Coordination: Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits by coordinating with external auditors, preparing audit schedules, and ensuring accurate documentation. Implement audit recommendations to strengthen financial controls.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures for the manufacturing unit. Analyze variances, provide insights to management, and optimize operational costs.
  • Inventory and Cost Accounting: Manage inventory valuation, cost accounting for production processes, and analysis of material and labor costs to ensure cost efficiency in manufacturing operations.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including Companies Act, SEBI (if applicable), and other relevant laws. Prepare and submit periodic financial reports to management and regulatory authorities.
  • Financial Strategy: Support senior management in financial planning, capital expenditure decisions, and investment analysis to drive the company’s growth objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability within the finance team.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
  • Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in finance, taxation, auditing, and budgeting within a manufacturing unit, preferably in the metal or heavy industry sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Tally), advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros), and financial modeling.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Indian taxation laws (Income Tax, GST) and manufacturing-specific accounting practices.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to interact with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
