Role summary

A Business Development Officer (BDO) in the Education sector is focused on expanding an educational institution or company's reach, attracting students, and forging strategic partnerships to achieve growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

* Market Research & Analysis: Identifying trends and opportunities within the education sector (e.g., student demographics, competitor landscape, emerging educational needs).

* Lead Generation & Prospecting: Developing strategies and initiatives to generate leads, such as conducting seminars at schools/colleges, participating in educational expos, and utilizing online platforms and networking events.

* Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including school administrators, counselors, students, parents, and industry professionals.

* Presentations & Proposals: Preparing and delivering persuasive presentations and proposals showcasing educational programs, services, or products to potential clients and partners.

* Client Engagement & Support: Counseling students on educational opportunities, providing information about programs and services, and ensuring student satisfaction.

* Strategic Planning: Collaborating with management to develop and implement strategies for expanding into new markets, launching new programs, or forming partnerships.

* Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Tracking and reporting on sales and marketing activities, student enrollment numbers, and overall business development performance.

* Collaboration: Working with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and coordinating with other departments (e.g., admissions, academics) to ensure seamless student support.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field.

Experience: Proven experience in business development, sales, or educational counseling, preferably within the education sector.

Skills:

* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

* Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse individuals.

* Analytical Skills: Capacity to analyze market trends, interpret data, and identify new business opportunities.

* Organizational & Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

* Results-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to achieve targets and drive growth.

* Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and potentially CRM software like Salesforce.

* Personal Attributes: Proactive, self-motivated, adaptable, and customer-service focused.

Desired skills and experience

* Experience in sales / Marketing specific (EdTech platforms or solutions. ( Optional )

* Familiarity with digital marketing and social media strategies for student outreach.

* Event planning and management experience.

* Understanding of diverse educational systems and regulatory frameworks.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,193.96 - ₹75,439.92 per month
