Job: Business Development Manager Location: Head Office, Mumbai Department: Sales & BD Joining: Immidiate We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and driven Business Development Manager to join our core team at the Mumbai Head Office. This role is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of experience in the solar energy domain , who are passionate about clean energy and eager to contribute towards India's renewable future. Key Responsibilities Conduct cold calling and lead generation to identify and qualify new business opportunities in the solar EPC and O&M space. Attend and represent the company at industry exhibitions, trade shows, and networking events to build partnerships and client pipelines. Conduct in-depth market research on emerging trends, state solar policies, regulatory updates, and government amendments relevant to solar energy in India. Maintain and update the company’s CRM system (Zoho/Salesforce or equivalent) with accurate lead data, activity logs, and conversion progress. Assist in the preparation of sales proposals , preliminary estimates , and provisional BOQs (Bill of Quantities) in coordination with the technical team. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless handover from lead generation to project proposal stage. Provide regular reporting and insights on market intelligence, competitor activity, and pricing benchmarks. Support the business development team in document preparation, pre-qualification requirements, and investor decks when required. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business Administration, or equivalent. 1–2 years of experience in the solar industry , preferably in business development, sales, technical analysis, or policy research. Strong understanding of solar EPC lifecycle , system components, and commercial models (CAPEX/OPEX/Open Access). Knowledge of state-level solar policies, MNRE guidelines, and DISCOM regulations will be an added advantage. Excellent communication skills, especially in English (spoken & written) . Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms. Self-starter, analytical mindset, with the ability to work independently and within teams. Willingness to travel occasionally to attend exhibitions, site visits, or client meetings. Compensation & Benefits Lucrative salary package with fixed + performance-based variable component .
