Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Chennai Reports To: Sales Head Job Type: Full-time Job Summary: BDM will be responsible for overseeing all business operations, sales, and distribution of digital LED screens within the assigned state. This leadership role involves driving revenue growth, managing key accounts, expanding dealer networks, and ensuring operational excellence in alignment with the company’s objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in LED display technology, sales, and team management. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Strategy & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute state-level business strategies to achieve sales targets for LED screens (indoor, outdoor, rental, etc.). Identify new market opportunities, including corporate, government, retail, advertising, and event sectors. Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly. 2. Sales & Distribution Management: Lead the sales team to achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targets. Expand and manage the dealer/distributor network across the state. Build and maintain relationships with key clients (ad agencies, event organizers, malls, stadiums, etc.). Drive B2B and B2C sales through direct and indirect channels. 3. Operations & Supply Chain: Ensure seamless logistics, installation, and after-sales service for LED screens. Coordinate with manufacturing, technical, and support teams for timely deliveries and installations. Oversee inventory management and demand forecasting. 4. Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and mentor sales and operations teams within the state. Set performance metrics, conduct reviews, and motivate the team to exceed targets. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer-centricity. 5. Marketing & Branding: Collaborate with the marketing team to execute localized promotional campaigns. Participate in industry events, exhibitions, and government tenders to enhance brand visibility. 6. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and operational issues for senior management. Qualifications & Skills: Education: MBA in Sales/Marketing/Business Administration or Engineering (Electronics/Electrical) preferred. Experience: 8+ years in sales/operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in the LED display, digital signage, or AV industry. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of LED screen technology, specifications, and applications. Sales Acumen: Proven track record in B2B sales, dealer network expansion, and key account management. Leadership: Strong team management and decision-making skills. Communication: Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management abilities. Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the state. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Revenue growth & target achievement. Dealer network expansion & retention. Customer satisfaction & after-sales service efficiency. Market share growth in the state.
