About the Role
We’re looking for a sharp, curious, and proactive Business Development Intern who can help us discover and unlock new growth opportunities. You will play a key role in identifying potential clients—especially startups that have raised fresh funding, are scaling rapidly, or preparing to expand offline—and converting them into qualified leads.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Research & Opportunity Identification
Identify and track newly funded startups, high-growth companies, and brands exploring offline expansion.
Research target markets, industries, and founder/stakeholder profiles to build a strong prospective pipeline.
Monitor platforms like LinkedIn, Tracxn, Crunchbase, Inc42, and news portals for new BD opportunities.
2. Lead Generation & Outreach
Generate qualified leads through email outreach, LinkedIn networking, and cold calling.
Maintain and update CRM data, track outreach status, and generate weekly pipeline & performance reports.
3. Market & Competitive Analysis
Conduct market research to support our growth strategy and competitive positioning.
Analyze industry trends, client requirements, and competitor offerings.
4. Client Engagement Support
Assist in building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders.
Participate in client calls/meetings, follow-ups, and negotiation support.
5. Sales Enablement
Prepare proposals, pitch decks, and presentations for our HR/TA services offerings.
Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition and Marketing teams to refine outreach and acquisition strategies.
6. Branding & Promotion
Support branding activities including social media posts, campaigns, and networking initiatives.
Represent the company at events, webinars, and relevant business communities (where applicable).
Requirements
Strong research skills and ability to extract insights from multiple digital sources.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work with CRM tools, Excel/Sheets, LinkedIn, and basic presentation tools.
Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and a growth mindset.
Basic understanding of HR services, recruitment, or B2B sales is a plus.
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, HR, or a related field.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to research, analyze data, and present insights clearly.
Self-driven, enthusiastic, and eager to learn business development strategies.
