Business Development Executive – IoT & Telematics


We’re hiring a hands‑on business development professional to own the full sales cycle for our IoT & telematics solutions—prospecting, meetings, demos/POCs, deal negotiation, and handover to delivery. This is an on‑field role (≈60–70% client‑facing) requiring regular visits to prospects and customers across Mumbai.


What you will do:

  • Pipeline generation & territory coverage

  • Identify and map target accounts (fleets, logistics firms, transporters, OEMs, distributors, SI partners, enterprise accounts).
  • Prospect via cold calls, LinkedIn/email outreach, channel partners, events, and referrals.
  • Maintain an active visit cadence across assigned micro‑territories in Mumbai.
  • Discovery, demos & POCs

  • Run discovery to qualify needs (vehicle tracking, fuel monitoring, driver behavior, route optimization, asset tracking, cold chain, etc.).
  • Conduct on‑site/virtual demos; coordinate hardware trials/POCs with pre‑sales/ops.
  • Deal management & closure

  • Prepare proposals, solution configurations, and commercials; handle RFQs/RFPs.
  • Negotiate terms, close deals, and manage handover to delivery & customer success.
  • Account growth

  • Drive adoption, renewals, and upsell/cross‑sell (devices, connectivity, platform seats, analytics modules).
  • Build and manage channel relationships where relevant.
  • Reporting & hygiene

  • Update CRM daily (activities, opportunities, forecast).
  • Track visit plans, funnel health, and POC outcomes; report weekly/monthly.


What you will bring!:

  • 2–5 years

    of B2B new‑logo or solution sales experience; at least

    1 year closing

    deals end‑to‑end.
  • Exposure to

    IoT/Telematics/GPS tracking/Fleet SaaS

    or adjacent spaces (logistics tech, mobility, automotive, hardware+SaaS).
  • Strong field sales discipline: comfortable with

    on‑site meetings

    .
  • Clear communication and negotiation skills; ability to translate technical features into business outcomes (ROI).
  • Languages:

    Proficient in English and Hindi;

    Marathi

    is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree (any discipline). Engineering or MBA is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within Mumbai

  • Qualified meetings/visits per week.
  • Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) → Opportunity conversion rate.
