Purpose of the role

Provide accurate, timely analysis and reporting to improve operational performance across service streams at Loch. Build simple, reliable data pipelines and dashboards, define metrics clearly, and deliver insights that inform planning, quality, and capacity decisions. This is a support role with no client advisory component.

Responsibilities and duties

• Define operational KPIs and metric dictionaries that are understood and used consistently by teams.
• Build weekly and monthly dashboards in Google Sheets and Looker Studio with clear trends and variance commentary.
• Design lightweight data capture templates and reconcile inputs from approved systems to ensure accuracy.
• Analyse throughput, turnaround times, queue ageing, rework, utilisation, and quality exceptions, and recommend actions with owners and timelines.
• Produce workload forecasts and capacity views that support rota planning, hiring decisions, and service levels.
• Track initiatives from baseline to outcome and report progress against targets.
• Partner with stream managers to align definitions, handoffs, and data responsibilities.
• Document sources, access controls, refresh cadence, and versioning for each report.
• Create quick how to guides and run short training so teams can self-serve dashboards.
• Perform other analysis, reporting, and tooling tasks that support Loch’s operational objectives.

Key deliverables

• A maintained KPI pack with weekly and monthly dashboards approved by the Director.
• Action oriented insights that identify bottlenecks and specify next steps, owners, and due dates.
• Forecast and capacity view updated at the agreed cadence for planning meetings.
• Standardised data capture templates and usage notes adopted by teams.
• Executive summaries delivered on time with clear decisions requested.

Compliance and confidentiality

All work must be completed using approved systems. Data must be handled confidentially and accessed only for authorised business purposes. No client facing materials are issued by this role. Any content requiring legal oversight is released only after internal review and sign off under applicable protocols.

Essential skills

• Strong analytical problem solving with the ability to translate data into clear actions.
• Proficiency with Google Sheets and Looker Studio including formulas, pivots, data validation, and charting.
• Structured documentation and version control for metrics, templates, and reports.
• Clear written communication and concise presentation of findings.
• High attention to detail and reliability under time constraints.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Two to five years of experience in business analysis, operations analytics, or reporting in a services environment.
• Experience building KPI dashboards and process metrics across multiple stakeholders.
• Basic familiarity with CRM or workflow tools is an advantage.
