Position Overview:
Brand Manager
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including design, marketing, product, and e-commerce to build brand equity and customer love. If you're a beauty enthusiast with strong analytical and creative skills, this is your chance to make a real impact in a fast-growing space.
Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy and Positioning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies for all products, ensuring alignment with the brand's vision and objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and market positioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop messaging and communication strategies that resonate with the target audience.
2. Product Launches:
- Lead the planning and execution of product launches, including packaging design, website content, and performance marketing strategies.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure seamless execution and timely delivery of launch materials.
- Monitor and analyze launch performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
3. Performance Marketing:
- Optimize ads and lead campaigns across various channels, leveraging data-driven insights to maximize ROI and revenue generation.
- Collaborate with agencies and internal stakeholders to develop targeted campaigns that drive customer acquisition and retention.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet business objectives.
4. Event Management:
- Plan and coordinate brand events and activations, including trade shows, pop-up shops, and experiential marketing campaigns.
- Manage logistics, budgets, and vendor relationships to ensure successful execution of events.
- Evaluate event performance and ROI, implementing improvements for future initiatives.
5. Digital Marketing Strategy:
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies across channels such as email, paid advertising, and content syndication.
- Monitor digital marketing trends and best practices, incorporating new tactics to drive results and stay ahead of the competition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of digital marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
6. Design Management:
- Oversee the development of creative assets, including graphic design, photography, and video production, to support marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with design teams and agencies to ensure brand consistency and quality standards are met.
- Review and approve creative deliverables, providing feedback and guidance as needed.
7. Marketplace Management:
- Manage listings and promotions on third-party marketplaces, such as Amazon, Myntra, and Nykaa, to drive sales and brand visibility.
- Optimize product listings for search and conversion, leveraging marketplace tools and analytics.
- Monitor marketplace performance metrics and competitor activity, implementing strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
8. Strategic Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans, setting clear objectives and KPIs for each initiative.
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, identifying trends and insights to inform future strategies.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, guiding decision-making, and resource allocation.
9. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, support, and feedback to foster growth and development.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, encouraging creativity, innovation, and continuous learning.
10. Analytics & Metrics:
- Track and analyze weekly/monthly sales performance across platforms (Nykaa, Amazon, TIRA, D2C, etc.)
- Monitor sell-through rates, stock movement, and inventory health to inform marketing and supply decisions
- Evaluate campaign performance (discounts, offers, new launches) and suggest improvements
- Analyze customer behavior, repeat purchase rates, and product reviews to optimize assortment and messaging
- Generate insights from platform dashboards (Nykaa Seller Central, Amazon Brand Analytics, etc.)
- Monitor competitor performance using tools like Helium 10, Nielsen, or platform-specific data
- Build monthly performance reports with key KPIs: GMV, conversions, ROAS, CTR, and category ranking
- Identify slow-moving SKUs and recommend strategies (bundling, markdowns, etc.) to improve sales
- Work closely with performance marketing and e-commerce teams to align on ROI-driven strategies
- Present data-backed insights in internal meetings to support brand growth and new product planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (MBA is a plus)
- 2–3 years of experience in brand management, preferably in the beauty, skincare, or FMCG sector
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape in beauty
- Experience managing brands on platforms like Nykaa, Amazon, TIRA, and D2C websites
- Solid analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Nykaa Seller Panel, Amazon Brand Analytics, etc.
- Experience with campaign planning, product launches, and seasonal marketing calendars
- Familiarity with digital marketing and performance metrics (ROAS, CTR, Conversion Rate)
- Excellent communication, coordination, and presentation skills
- Strong sense of aesthetics and storytelling aligned with brand positioning
- Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, design, supply chain, and e-commerce teams
- Passion for skincare, beauty, and consumer-first branding
