About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Manual + Automation Test Engineer to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in both manual and automated testing, strong analytical abilities, and a passion for improving product quality in manufacturing/ERP solutions. This role requires hands-on experience with Selenium, Java, SQL, JMeter, and test management tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in

  manual and automation testing

  for large-scale applications.
• Strong experience in

  Selenium WebDriver

  with Java for functional, regression, performance, sanity, and smoke testing.
• Experience with

  Selenium Java frameworks

  , Java programming, JVM concepts, relational databases, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with

  test automation for APIs

  (Postman preferred).
• Experience with

  JMeter

  for performance testing.
• Strong understanding of

  relational database concepts

  , data validation, and writing SQL queries for data verification.
• Experience with test management and bug-tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence, qTest Manager preferred).
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, best practices, and SDLC/STLC processes.
• Ability to work effectively with onshore/offshore teams in a collaborative environment.
• Strong technical aptitude, time management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities efficiently.

Roles & Responsibilities

Manual & Automation Testing

• Perform both manual and automated testing activities across various phases of product development.
• Assist the product quality team in transitioning to a heavily automated testing environment.
• Execute, read, debug, and maintain automated test scripts.
• Prioritize test cases for automation and independently write medium to high-complexity automation scripts.

Test Planning & Execution

• Participate in test plan and strategy creation in collaboration with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and QA teams.
• Ensure robust test coverage and high-quality deliverables across all testing phases.
• Lead test estimation activities and communicate test plans, progress reports, and metrics to stakeholders.
• Conduct test reviews/audits to ensure adherence to product quality standards.

API & Data Validation

• Automate and execute API test cases using tools like Postman.
• Conduct data analysis, data validation, and verification using SQL queries.
• Identify and resolve defects, ensuring reliable and scalable product performance.

Exploratory & Functional Testing

• Execute detailed exploratory testing to identify defects beyond predefined test cases.
• Map functional and technical requirements into complete test cases/scripts.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Serve as a test lead and point-of-contact for project QA activities.
• Mentor and support junior QA engineers and peers.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the product domain.
• Promote and practice QA best standards across the organization.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain documentation for test cases, test scripts, and testing processes.
• Track and report team/project metrics regularly.
• Ensure clarity and transparency in test reporting and defect management.
