What You’ll Be DOING
What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Facilitate Cloud Migration Support: Collaborate with Data Governance teams to ensure privacy, security, and metadata management activities are effectively integrated during application cloud migration initiatives.
- Apply Data Management Frameworks: Implement and uphold AXA XL’s Data Management framework by adhering to established Data Governance principles, policies, and standards to ensure consistent data practices.
- Perform Data Profiling and Issue Resolution: Conduct data profiling, analyze data issues, and perform reconciliation activities to maintain data quality and integrity.
- Analyze Datasets for Governance Compliance: Execute comprehensive analysis of datasets to verify adherence to data governance standards, including naming conventions, enterprise data definitions, privacy/security classifications, criticality assessments, and business rule documentation via metadata collection.
- Evaluate Legacy Systems for Data Governance: Assess existing legacy systems and processes from a governance perspective to identify opportunities for sustainable improvements aligned with the data management framework during cloud transition.
- Communicate and Promote Data Governance Practices: Participate in project meetings to update stakeholders on governance and metadata activities, promoting compliance with Data Governance policies and best practices.
- Foster a Customer-Centric Culture: Demonstrate a commitment to stakeholder service by prioritizing the needs of business users and cultivating a customer-first approach to data governance initiatives.

Required Skills And Abilities
- Understanding of Data Governance & Data Management Principles Apply core concepts like data quality, policies, metadata management, and controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Proficiency with Metadata Management Tools Use platforms such as Collibra or similar tools to classify, track, and manage metadata, enabling effective data discovery and lineage tracking.
- Intermediate SQL and Excel Skills Write SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis, and utilize Excel for reporting, data analysis, and visualization tasks.
- Knowledge of Database Structures Understand database schemas, tables, relationships, and data mappings to support data integration and quality initiatives.
- Experience with Data Systems Knowledge of systems like Customer Data Integration (CDI), Master Data Management (MDM), and enterprise platforms like WINS, Genius, or Guidewire to support enterprise data strategies.
- Supporting Data Governance & Data Management Practices Relevant years of practical experience in implementing and supporting data governance and data management practices within organizations.
- Experience working in Agile Methodology & Squads
Hands-on experience working within Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and collaborative efforts to deliver data solutions efficiently.
