Position: Associate Director – Human Resources
Role Purpose
The Associate Director – HR will lead the HR function at the resort level, driving strategic HR initiatives aligned with the resort’s business goals. This role will partner with senior leadership to cultivate a high-performance, engaged workforce, shape the people agenda and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Leadership
· Collaborate with the resort’s senior leadership (GM/Operations Head) to articulate and execute the HR strategy in support of business objectives.
· Act as a trusted advisor to department heads on all HR matters—talent management, organisational design, performance management, culture, engagement, etc.
· Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and practices specific to the resort, aligned with company / brand standards.
· Drive change and transformation initiatives (e.g., culture change, digital HR, restructuring) to support growth and operational excellence.
· Monitor key HR metrics (attrition, engagement, training hours, etc.) and deliver actionable insights to leadership.
Talent & Workforce Management
· Lead end-to-end talent lifecycle: workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, development, retention and succession.
· Ensure the resort attracts, develops and retains high-quality talent—especially in key roles (HODs, assistant managers, etc.).
· Facilitate leadership development, learning & development programmes, and mentorship initiatives.
· Manage performance management systems—goal setting, periodic reviews, appraisal calibration, feedback culture.
· Oversee employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent practices, and timely resolution of employee matters.
Culture, Engagement & Employer Brand
· Foster a strong culture of hospitality excellence, associate engagement, inclusion & diversity, and service-oriented mindset.
· Develop and implement associate engagement initiatives, surveys, action-plans based on feedback.
· Promote the resort as an employer of choice within the region and hospitality industry.
Compensation, Benefits & Compliance
· Provide oversight of compensation & benefits administration to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
· Ensure compliance with labour laws, regulations, statutory requirements (PF, ESI, labour welfare, etc.) and company policies.
· Partner with payroll, HRIS, and administrative teams to ensure accurate systems and processes.
Operational & Administrative
· Lead HR operations: staffing, rosters, manpower budgets, HR budget, cost control related to HR function.
· Oversee HRIS or local HR database, ensure data integrity, reporting readiness and audit readiness.
· Support pre-opening or expansion initiatives (if applicable), including staffing plan, training, mobilisation.
· Manage HR team for the resort (recruitment, training, performance of HR staff) and ensure they deliver effectively.
