Assistant Manager - Client & Internal Operations

The Opportunity

We are looking for a versatile and proactive Assistant Manager to work closely with our clients and internal teams. This role involves managing client accounts, coordinating between different departments, and ensuring smooth project delivery and timely collections while maintaining strong customer relationships.

What You'll Do

Client Account Management

  • Manage day-to-day communication with assigned client accounts
  • Coordinate project timelines and deliverables with customers
  • Address client queries and concerns promptly
  • Follow up on project requirements and updates
  • Drive timely collection of project payments and pending invoices
  • Manage Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) renewals and closures with existing clients
  • Negotiate and resolve payment-related issues with clients
  • Support the team in closing commercial aspects of projects and ensuring revenue realization

Team Coordination

  • Work with technical, sales, and support teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Keep track of division-wise schedules and project status
  • Help resolve blockers that affect project delivery
  • Assist team leads with planning and organizing client deliverables

Operational Support

  • Support divisional leaders in managing their client projects
  • Maintain project documentation and status reports
  • Help prepare quotations and proposals when needed
  • Ensure timely communication between teams and clients

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or related field
  • 4-8 years of experience in client coordination, sales, account management, collections, finance operations, or business development roles
  • Experience in software/IT industry preferred
  • Candidates from B2B sales, account management, AR/collections, finance or client servicing backgrounds are encouraged to apply
  • Knowledge of HRMS/ERP systems is a plus but not mandatory

Skills That Matter

  • Strong client relationship management with focus on commercial outcomes
  • Proven experience in project collections, payment follow-ups, or closing deals
  • Good understanding of invoicing, contracts, finance and payment cycles
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and business stakeholders
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking abilities
  • Persistent yet professional follow-up approach
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP and CRM/tracking tools

Reporting Structure

This role reports to the General Manager and works closely with all department heads.
