For more info, visit our website: www.coats.com Role Purpose To manage the procurement process for various textile products, including but not limited to Interlining fabrics, Zips as well as packaging materials, by understanding business needs, identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery. Responsible for maintaining cost-effectiveness while upholding quality and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Supplier Management β Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery. Purchase Order Processing β Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies. Cost Optimization β Negotiate pricing and payment terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards. Contract Management β Draft, review, and manage procurement contracts for sub-contractors to ensure legal compliance and operational efficiency. Vendor Development - Driving product and process improvements with vendors to achieve cost efficiency and quality Compliance & Documentation β Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records. Risk Management β Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including delays, quality issues or vendor failures. Cross-functional Collaboration β Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain and Quality teams to align with business needs. Reporting & Analysis β Generate procurement KPI reports and analyze data to support decision-making and continuous improvement. Inward Shipment Management β Coordinate with transporter, freight forwarders and customs agents to ensure timely and compliant clearance and delivery of goods Market Research β Monitor market trends and conduct supplier benchmarking to support strategic sourcing decisions Audits - Manage audits, including Group Internal Audits and Controllership reviews. Education, Qualifications and Experience Knowledge and Understanding: In-depth knowledge of SAP MM Module and its applications in procurement and supply chain management. Experienced in the procurement of direct materials and finished goods. Expertise in managing vendors handling sub-contracting of manufacturing operations. Strong understanding of Contract Management Deep understanding of P2P (Procure-to-Pay) processes and their implementation. Familiarity with Audit and Compliance processes related to procurement and supply chain operations. Qualification: Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering (B.E/B Tech), or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the Supply Chain domain. In-depth knowledge of end-to-end procurement, with specific expertise in sourcing direct materials and finished goods. Skills & Abilities: Proficiency in English and Hindi Excellent communication and coordination skills to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders. Strong ability to analyse market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities. Growth mindset with problem-solving skills to address challenges and streamline processes.
