About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager – Finance to manage key finance and accounting functions including financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, month-end closing, and internal financial controls. The role requires strong analytical capability, hands-on accounting knowledge, and the ability to support senior management with accurate and timely financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management & Reporting

  • Prepare and review monthly/quarterly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Perform variance analysis for revenue, costs, margins, and cash flows.
  • Develop and maintain MIS dashboards and financial analytics reports.
  • Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.

2. Books Closing – Month/Quarter/Year End

  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of books with all necessary accounting entries.
  • Review and prepare schedules for accruals, provisions, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and other adjustments.
  • Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors for audit requirements.
  • Assist in preparation and finalization of annual financial statements and balance sheet schedules.

3. Accounts Management

  • Maintain books of accounts, financial statements, ledgers, and supporting schedules.
  • Handle day-to-day accounting for sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
  • Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and inter-company balances.
  • Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) and manage ageing analysis.

4. Compliance & Controls

  • Manage GST compliance: GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, monthly reconciliation, and annual returns.
  • Handle TDS computation, deductions, return filing, and vendor compliance.
  • Ensure statutory compliance under Income Tax, PF, PT, ESI, and other applicable laws.
  • Strengthen internal financial controls, process documentation, and audit readiness.

5. Cash & Treasury Management

  • Monitor daily cash flow, bank balances, collections, and fund movement.
  • Manage vendor payments, payment cycles, and ensure timely disbursements.
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting, working capital analysis, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Support financial risk monitoring and treasury coordination.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting, Finance, Taxation, and Statutory Compliances.
  • Hands-on experience in Tally ERP and Focus software.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS reporting).
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good communication, coordination, and team-management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.

Education & Experience

  • CA Inter (Mandatory).
  • 2–3 years post CA-Inter experience, preferably with Articleship / Audit Firm background.
  • Experience in Manufacturing industry
