Job Title: Area Sales Manager – B2B (Individual Role - Head Office)


📍 Location: Thane, Maharashtra (Head Office Based)

🏭 Preferred Industry: Agritech / Agricultural Machinery / Farm Equipment

💼 Experience Required: 3–5 Years (B2B Product Sales Only – Not Services)

💰 Salary Range: ₹5,00,000 – ₹7,20,000 LPA + Incentives + Performance Bonus



About the Role


We are looking for a strategic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to manage and expand our B2B dealer and distributor network across assigned territories from our Thane Head Office.


This is an individual contributor role initially, where the candidate will handle existing customers, build new networks through cold calling and marketing leads, and ensure consistent revenue growth.


The ideal candidate will have proven experience in B2B product sales, dealer/distributor handling, and lead management, along with strong skills in negotiation, CRM, and Excel reporting.


The candidate must also possess leadership and team development potential, as the role will expand to handle a field sales & marketing team in future.



Key Responsibilities


1. Sales Strategy & Territory Management

• Develop and implement territory-specific sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.

• Manage and grow the existing dealer and distributor network, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.

• Identify and onboard new dealers/distributors through cold calling, digital inquiries, and trade leads.

• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and pricing intelligence for better decision-making.

• Coordinate with marketing and logistics teams for smooth sales execution and dealer engagement.



2. Lead Management & Customer Engagement

• Handle leads generated through marketing campaigns, exhibitions, and inbound calls.

• Maintain all lead data in CRM tools and ensure timely follow-ups and closure.

• Prepare and analyze lead conversion and sales performance reports in Excel.

• Ensure effective customer communication to build long-term relationships and repeat sales.



3. Dealer & Distributor Relationship Management

• Strengthen partnerships with channel partners through regular interaction and business reviews.

• Handle dealer pricing, sales schemes, and negotiation to ensure profitability.

• Support trade promotions, offers, and dealer incentive programs.

• Ensure timely order processing, invoicing, and follow-ups for payments.



4. Team Management & Future Expansion

• Demonstrate leadership and mentoring capabilities for internal sales coordination or telecalling teams.

• Prepare and implement plans for future field sales team expansion and training.

• Support the development of internal processes and performance monitoring systems for upcoming teams.



5. Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain all records in MS Excel and CRM software (leads, orders, dealer status, sales forecasts).

• Share weekly/monthly reports with management on performance metrics and targets.

• Coordinate with marketing, accounts, service, and logistics teams for seamless dealer support.

• Participate in exhibitions, dealer meets, and market surveys when required.



Candidate Profile

• Experience: 3–5 years in B2B product sales (mandatory).

• Education: Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.

• Key Skills: Dealer/distributor handling, lead management, negotiation, CRM, Excel proficiency, and communication.

• Traits: Target-driven, analytical, proactive, and process-oriented.

• Languages Preferred:

• Travel Requirement: Mild (10–20%) for exhibitions, dealer meets, and market surveys.
