As an Automation Project Manager with 5-7 years of experience, your primary responsibility will be to plan and execute automation projects effectively. You will define project scope, objectives, and timelines aligned with business goals. Your key responsibilities will include: - Creating detailed project plans for automation initiatives, including tasks, resources, dependencies, and milestones. - Managing end-to-end delivery of automation solutions from requirement gathering to post-deployment support. - Acting as a single point of contact between technical teams, leadership, and customers. - Providing regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and progress. - Collaborating with operations, engineering, and process owners to identify tasks suitable for automation. - Coordinating with developers, testers, and infrastructure teams for timely task execution. - Identifying potential risks related to timelines, technology compatibility, and operational impact. - Ensuring all automation solutions are compliant with internal IT policies and external regulations. - Maintaining detailed documentation of requirements, designs, test plans, and runbooks. - Recommending process improvements through automation. - Creating dashboards in Smartsheet for VP/Directors using existing project intake data. Additionally, the essential skillset required for this role includes: - Mandatory proficiency in Smartsheet. - Mandatory certification in PMP/Prince2 and ITIL V3/V4 Foundation. - Prior experience in managed services with enterprise clients. - Experience in Automation & DevOps. - Knowledge in technology fundamentals and trends. - Strong business acumen and analytical skills. - Ability to influence across and up for achieving business outcomes. - Leadership skills to form and lead teams successfully. - Strong project management methodology skills. - Accountability to own and drive results with urgency. - Innovation mindset to contribute to growth, cost savings, and simplification. - Collaborative approach to leverage team strengths. - Ability to understand risk and develop mitigation plans. - In-depth experience with project management and automation practices. - Excellent communication skills and documentation abilities.
