Your Role

  • Sales in Madhya Pradesh (Indore) – for BioMonitoring business in SLS/ Life Science. Territories covered: Madhya Pradesh.
  • Key Account Management. Result oriented to achieve set objectives of Annual operating plan and quarterly phasing budgets. Submission of forecast (Sales Plans, Inventory Management) monthly, quarterly and yearly.
  • Customer management: Manage relationships with key customers, distributors and further business stakeholders. Developing a customer centric approach and be the VOC to aid in developing right strategy. Go digital & direct the business within the market using Sales tools like SFDC and other digital tools.
  • Support regional product promotion campaigns and work closely with marketing teams for promotions of new products, hardware demos, validations qualifications. Channel partner /dealer management to further the reach in market and manage distribution in accordance with company policies. End use monitoring and generation/mapping of secondary sales in case of channel sales.
  • Deliver sales presentations and application support, help in complaint resolution to customers in coordination with other relevant functions as required. Collaborate with Customer service / Finance /Collection for ensuring cash flow.
  • Market watch: Market intelligence, and monitor competitor activities in the market place. Retention and expansion of existing & new customers based on business & market requirements at appropriate time. Product knowledge and skill sets and knowledge of carrying out basic tests / experiments needed in process handling.
  • Awareness on ERP like SAP and MS Office tools for business requirements. Participate in skill building, training exercises for business development. Ability to understand customer processes and requirements and mirror products, solutions , services offered by the organization.
  • Knowledge of the region, territories and Languages. Relationship with Customers & Key opinion Leader’s (KOL) of the region. Technical and business acumen pertaining to these mentioned aspects; demonstrate learning agility. New business development - Expansion of business in uncovered / new territories within the assigned region ; generate Sales from new products / new applications. Interfacing and coordinating with other functions (Operations, Finance, Customer Service etc.) to meet business objectives. Any other special task / project as assigned by line manager in relation to above mentioned aspects.


Who you are

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in microbiology or Life Science or related discipline. Microbiologist / biotechnologist / Life Science Grad/PG
  • 4-9 years plus min. of sales experience in Life Science market. Relevant industry experience in serving Pharma/Biopharma / Industry customers in Laboratory consumables/equipment’s. Teamwork, Customer orientation, Result orientation, Communication with impact. Techno commercial aspects - high on business acumen.
  • Strategic orientation, executing multi-channel sales strategies (direct, indirect, digital), Accurate forecasting skills, Ability to navigate across a matrixed organization, Ability to engage a variety of audience (team, peers, leadership, customer, partners etc) during presentations in English and Japanese. Ability to design and deliver effective presentations with message, structure, clarity and impact by using story telling techniques.
  • Business acumen, Problem-solving skills, Selling skills, Product knowledge, Related industry and market trend Negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English, Hindi , Local language. Proficient in English – spoken /written.
