Reports To: State Operations Head
1. Operational Management
Lead and manage day-to-day ambulance services across the assigned zone.
Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and MEMS/NHM operational protocols.
Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) including response time, availability, and patient satisfaction.
Conduct audits, risk assessments, and ensure safety standards are followed.
2. Team Leadership & People Management
Supervise EMT/EMSO, ambulance pilots, team leads, and zone-level coordinators.
Conduct regular performance reviews, mentoring, and skill enhancement programs.
Address grievances, motivate teams, and promote discipline and efficiency.
3. Fleet & Resource Management
Ensure optimal utilization and availability of ambulances and medical supplies.
Oversee fleet maintenance, tracking (AVL/GPS), and minimize vehicle downtime.
Manage zone-level inventory, fuel consumption, and resource planning.
4. Stakeholder & Community Engagement
Serve as the point of contact for district officials, political representatives, and local bodies.
Collaborate with internal teams (DM, ADM, EMSO, Pilots and support staff) and external vendors.
Drive awareness campaigns and community engagement programs (IEC/Health outreach).
5. Compliance & Reporting
Ensure all operations comply with legal, medical, and regulatory standards.
Manage incident escalation, documentation, and reporting to regional/state leadership.
Maintain data accuracy and generate periodic operational and performance reports.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Emergency Management / Healthcare Administration / BAMS / BHMS or related field
Post Graduate Diploma in Emergency Medical Services (preferred)
Experience:
7–10 years of relevant experience in EMS, healthcare operations, or public health projects
Prior experience with 108 services or NHM programs is highly desirable
Skills Required:
Must-Have Skills:
Operational leadership in emergency medical services
Knowledge of emergency response protocols, SOPs, and compliance standards
Team supervision and performance management
Familiarity with AVL systems, Excel dashboards, and EMS software
Good-to-Have Skills:
Understanding of NHM health systems and district-level governance
Experience in fleet maintenance and logistics
Community outreach and IEC campaign coordination
Fluency in Marathi (preferred), Hindi, and English
Crisis and incident management experience
