Position Summary
The Website, SEO & Digital Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for managing Babcock Power’s WordPress-based websites and digital presence, combining technical website expertise with SEO strategy, digital marketing communications, analytics, and design execution. This role owns both front-end and back-end website performance while supporting social media engagement, campaign execution, and brand consistency across digital and print channels.The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and data-driven, with strong WordPress experience, SEO knowledge, and creative design capabilities. They are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and continuously improving user experience and marketing effectiveness through analytics and optimization.
Essential Responsibilities:
WordPress Website Management & Development
- Maintain and update content across all Babcock Power company domains
- Own day-to-day management of WordPress websites, including page creation, content updates, and structural optimization
- Manage WordPress themes, plugins, page builders, custom post types, and integrations
- Maintain site architecture, internal linking, URL structures, redirects, and taxonomy
- Create and publish conference, seminar, news, and event postings, including writing descriptions and SEO metadata, designing thumbnails/cover graphics, and refreshing homepage promotional sections
- Create and manage contact forms, CTAs, seminar pre-registration forms, and other interactive site elements
- Troubleshoot broken functionality, linking issues, crawl errors, indexation problems, and performance gaps
- Support website migrations, redesigns, redirects, clean-up, and post-launch validation
- Partner with IT to ensure WordPress core, plugins, integrations, hosting, and security are properly maintained
- Ensure compliance with accessibility (WCAG) and data privacy standards
- Manage Google Business Profile listings and coordinate updates for new sites or acquisitions
- Update featured job postings across relevant platforms
SEO Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and execute SEO strategies for WordPress sites, including technical, on-page, and content optimization
- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and search intent mapping
- Optimize metadata, headings, internal linking, schema markup, alt text, page speed, and Core Web Vitals
- Perform ongoing SEO and technical audits and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and improve organic search rankings across major search engines
Digital Marketing & Social Media Support
- Support engagement and relationship-building with current and prospective customers through corporate social media channels
- Populate and maintain online platform company pages and industry listings
- Create and manage trackable links (UTMs) for email campaigns, social posts, and digital initiatives
- Contribute to digital content strategy to ensure brand consistency and audience relevance across channels
Digital & Print Design, UX & CRO
- Design and build visually compelling, responsive WordPress pages aligned with brand and UX best practices
- Create and edit digital assets including graphics, banners, thumbnails, landing pages, and campaign visuals
- Design and update marketing literature, brochures, datasheets, and presentations using Adobe InDesign
- Apply UX/UI principles to improve usability, accessibility, engagement, and conversion paths
- Collaborate with marketing leadership to translate messaging into effective layouts and visual hierarchy
Analytics, Reporting & Performance Optimization
- Track and analyze website, SEO, and digital performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, or similar tools
- Review user behavior, traffic patterns, funnels, engagement, and conversion metrics
- Identify opportunities for UX, UI, SEO, and content improvements
- Produce clear, actionable performance and SEO reports
- Apply insights to refine strategies and continuously improve digital effectiveness
Job Requirements / Skills, Knowledge And Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Web Design/Development, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–5+ years of experience managing WordPress websites (front-end and back-end) in a marketing-driven environment
- Strong proficiency in WordPress CMS, including themes, plugins, page builders, and site optimization
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices, technical SEO, and website accessibility standards
- Proficiency in HTML and CSS; familiarity with JavaScript and PHP preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including required experience with Adobe InDesign
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and Google Business tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Analytical mindset with demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B, industrial, energy, engineering, or manufacturing marketing
- Experience supporting WordPress website migrations, redesigns, or SEO recovery initiatives
- Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation tools, or email marketing platforms
- Understanding of UX/UI principles, CRO methodologies, and modern web design trends
