VP - Finance Controller – Data Centre

Role Overview

The Finance Controller will be responsible for financial stewardship, investor reporting,

governance, and performance management of the data centre platform. The role will work closely

with the CEO, CFO, investors, lenders, and board, ensuring high-quality financial reporting,

transparency, and credibility across capex-intensive, long-term infrastructure assets.

This role requires strong expertise in Ind AS, consolidation, FP&A, cash flow management, and

investor communication, internal controls and oversee performance of JV platform with the ability

to translate complex financial data into clear insights for senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting, Controls & Governance

 Own monthly, quarterly, and annual closures for data centre SPVs and operating entities.

 Ensure accurate accounting of large-scale capex, CWIP, capitalization, depreciation,

impairment, and asset lives.

 Ensure strong internal financial controls (IFC) and governance frameworks aligned to

investor expectations.

 Ensure timely preparation of Ind AS-compliant standalone and consolidated financial

statements.

Ind AS, Audit & Regulatory Interface

 Lead compliance with Ind AS, with particular focus on infrastructure-relevant standards:

o Ind AS 16, 23, 36, 38, 40, and 115

 Act as the primary finance interface for statutory, internal, tax, and IFC auditors.

 Manage audit committee requirements, audit closures, and regulatory filings.

Investor, Lender & Board Reporting

 Prepare investor-grade reporting packs, including:

o Consolidated financials

o KPIs (MW capacity, utilization, yield, EBITDA, ROIC)

o Capex deployment and returns tracking

o Cash flow and covenant dashboards

 Support board meetings, audit committee meetings, steerco, investment board, executive

committee and investor reviews with high-quality financial narratives.

 Respond to investor queries with clarity, accuracy, and confidence.

Consolidation & Group Structuring

 Manage consolidation of multiple SPVs, subsidiaries, JVs, and holding structures.

 Oversee inter-company funding, eliminations, and reconciliations.

 Support structuring decisions from a financial reporting and tax efficiency perspective.

FP&A, Valuation Support & Performance Management

 Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term planning aligned to investor return

expectations.

 Own variance analysis, unit economics, and value-driver analysis.

 Support valuation exercises, fairness opinions, and periodic asset reviews.

 Build and review financial models for new developments, expansions, and acquisitions.

 Support strategic initiatives such as platform scale-up, refinancing, or exit readiness.

Cash Flow, Treasury & Capital Management

 Oversee cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and fund utilization.

 Track project-level and platform-level IRRs.

 Monitor debt covenants, drawdowns, DSCR, and lender compliance.

 Support fundraising, refinancing, and lender negotiations with accurate financial inputs.

Stakeholder Leadership & Business Partnering

 Act as a trusted finance partner to JV management.

 Partner with development, operations, procurement, finance and revenue teams to ensure

financial discipline.

 Drive finance transformation, automation, and best-in-class reporting standards to sync with

investor reporting.

Key Skills & Competencies

 Strong communication and presentation skills

 Deep expertise in Ind AS, consolidation, and infrastructure accounting

 Advanced FP&A, cash flow modeling, and financial analysis

 Experience handling PE / infrastructure fund reporting requirements

 Strong understanding of data centre economics and long-term contracts

 ERP and reporting tool proficiency (SAP)

Preferred Experience

 Experience in data centres, digital infrastructure, power, renewables

 Exposure to PE-backed platforms, infrastructure funds, or InvIT / REIT structures

 Experience in Big4 Accounting Firm would be a plus
