Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Management: Recruit, onboard, and rigorously train a high-performing team of Investment Development Associates. Establish clear and ambitious performance goals, key performance indicators (KPIs), and activity metrics. Implement systems for effectively monitoring team performance and providing regular, constructive feedback. Cultivate a positive, collaborative, and highly motivated team environment. Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing coaching sessions to enhance skills and performance. Outbound Strategy and Execution: Develop innovative and effective outbound calling strategies and meticulously crafted scripts. Oversee daily outbound calling activities and ensure adherence to best practices. Collaborate closely with the IT department to optimize outbound marketing applications and tools. Leverage existing databases and networking platforms to systematically build and refine prospect lists. Analyze outreach data to optimize approaches and maximize effectiveness. Deal Sourcing and Qualification: Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of the firm's investment thesis and evolving priorities. Ensure rigorous and effective lead qualification processes are in place. Manage the initial deal pipeline within the CRM system, ensuring accurate and timely updates. Collaborate closely with the investment team to align on priorities and share insights. Evaluate and strategically attend relevant conferences and industry events for lead generation and networking. Reporting and Analysis: Meticulously track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to outbound activities and lead generation. Prepare comprehensive reports on team performance, pipeline development, and key metrics. Identify trends and insights from sales data to inform strategy and improve performance. Collaboration: Foster strong working relationships with the investment team and other key stakeholders within the firm. Provide valuable market feedback and insights based on interactions and data. Stay proactively updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. Demonstrated and verifiable success in inside sales, business development, or lead generation, preferably within financial services, technology, or venture capital. Proven experience in building, managing, and scaling an outbound calling team. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of venture capital processes, deal structures, and industry dynamics. Proficiency in CRM software and various sales tools. Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proactive, results-oriented attitude with a strong drive to exceed expectations. Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling outreach materials.
