Success in the role requires a Vice Chancellor who can:
· Enable transformative learning experiences for students through outcome-based education, interdisciplinary exposure, and holistic development.
· Provide visionary academic leadership to all schools, departments, centres, and faculties.
· Ensure high-quality teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development aligned with national and international benchmarks.
· Strengthen academic processes, outcome-based education (OBE), Bloom’s taxonomy integration, and academic audits.
· Oversee faculty recruitment, development, appraisal, and retention of high-quality academic talent.
· Foster a culture of academic freedom, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
· Build a strong research ecosystem that promotes publications, patents, consultancy, sponsored projects, and technology transfer.
· Strengthen research centres, incubation facilities, and innovation hubs.
· Encourage faculty–industry cooperation, internships, live projects, and emerging technology collaborations.
· Pursue national and international research funding through DST, DBT, ICSSR, UGC, AICTE, SERB, and corporate-sponsored projects.
· Develop and execute long-term institutional strategies including academic expansion, infrastructure development, and digital transformation.
· Build systems that promote operational efficiency, transparency, data-driven decision-making, and good governance.
· Strengthen collaborations with industries, international universities, research bodies, and accreditation agencies.
· Lead strategic initiatives in digital education, blended learning, online programmes, and continuing education.
· Ensure student-centric policies and an environment that nurtures academic, personal, and professional growth.
· Promote programmes that enhance skills, employability, entrepreneurship, leadership, and wellbeing.
· Strengthen placement, internship, and career development initiatives through corporate partnerships.
· Build a safe, inclusive, equitable, and diverse campus that supports student engagement, extracurricular activities, and cultural development.
· Act as the face of the University in academic, industry, government, and international forums.
· Represent COER University in councils, conferences, media engagements, and policy discussions.
· Strengthen institutional credibility and national/global visibility through thought leadership and high-impact initiatives.
· Oversee all statutory approvals, recognitions, renewals, and reporting obligations.
· Ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards, ethical practices, and transparent governance mechanisms.
· Maintain alignment with NEP 2020 guidelines, academic reforms, and global best practices.
· Distinguished academician with an exemplary record of teaching, research, and service.
· PhD from a reputed institution in a relevant discipline.
· Significant record of publications in reputed journals, books, citations, patents, or impactful research contributions.
· Experience leading large teams, managing budgets, and driving organisational change.
