What You'll Do As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) in marketing technology working to help grow Avalara by promoting Marketing with scalable and data driven solutions. We implement standardized marketing technology solutions that facilitate data driven decisions and experiences, empowering users and increasing growth and efficiency. You will provide program coordination amongst the MarTech development teams responsible for the vision, content strategy, and development of a set of integrated solutions that promote Avalara's products and services on the corporate website, and technologies that enable our Marketing and Sales teams greater efficiencies. You'll report to Director, Digital Experience and Platforms Site Operations. What Your Responsibilities Will Be Engage with business stakeholders in Marketing, Sales Development, Customer Support and Development teams to yield complete program implementation plans, timelines and ensure requirements are translated into an actionable roadmap and backlog ready for prioritization into appropriate value streams (development streams.) Propose, plan, and implement new features, integrations, and capabilities, including facilitating the adoption of these new experiences (training, enablement, authoring, etc). Maximize value produced by the Development teams by prioritizing and balancing trade-offs to maintain ROI / quality. Own and nurture the vision for your responsibilities, ensuring strategic alignment. Manage Sprint intake process and participate in Agile ceremonies. Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and inform decision makers of appropriate trade-offs against development effort and return on investment. Obsessively monitor performance and continuously report out on project health and indicators for success with stakeholders throughout the project life cycle. Identify and resolve issues that block or reduce the team's ability to meet our goals. Drive effective collaboration, communication, and commitment. Help manage, improving, and enforcing processes for project intake and management Create and maintain internal user documentation, including supporting business logic and operational workflows. What You’ll Need To Be Successful Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, IT-related discipline or equivalent experience 7 to 10 years in a technical program management role with proven ability to work with all organizational levels across marketing technology platforms. Technical expertise in implementing Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch, Adobe Target, UTM and One Trust environments for multiple web properties. Familiarity with cookie compliance platforms such as One Trust Familiarity with tag management systems such as Adobe Launch Familiarity with Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Platform Web SDK Good to have technical knowledge with Adobe Marketo Automation Platform implementation and integration across Enterprise tools. Demonstrated ability to manage complex software/hardware projects, utilizing agile methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban and Agile project management tools Experience of influencing and developing productive working relationships with resources and internal or external customers Technical skills to understand, test, and challenge statements and assumptions working with respective technology owners. Understand technical implementation at the architecture level and propose technical alternatives when vital.
