Job Description

Title: Technical Lead

Experience: 7+yrs

Onsite

days for Visa Processing time.

Notice Period: Short Joiner within 30 days


Digital Channels is

  • Mobile Banking Engagement Layer (UI/UX or Presentation layer}
  • Mobile Banking Digital Spine (Micro-service layer)


Overall Responsibility:

  1. Technically lead projects and changes of digital channel application.
  2. Must to have prior experience in

    mobile

    banking application implementation process.
  3. Must have mobile app experience with iOS, Android & HarmonyoS.
  4. Good exposure around UI/UX development technologies like Flutter & React- Native.
  5. Proficient in Java/J2EE, SQL, Microservices, and integration technologies (SOAP/REST/MQ/TCP-IP).
  6. Experience in surround system integration like core banking, card systems, middleware, etc.
  7. Goodlevel of knowledge in database management systems like Oracle, MS SQL Server & MySQL.
  8. Must have good hands on experience in SQL fr PL/SQL
  9. Exper’hse in containerization technologies (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and On- Prem environments.

lO. During Project or change phase the resource should support for SIT,UAT, Security Testing and Performance testing.

  1. Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
  2. Lead daily scrum calls and facilitate agile ceremonies to ensure the team stays aligned and project milestonesaremet.
  3. Knowledge of DevOpspractices and CI/CD pipelines using tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).


  1. Evaluate vendor deliverables for quality and compliance with project requirements.
  2. Experience indata Migration, application/server/infrastructure upgrade etc., if it is applicable.

Day-to-Day Tracking and required follow-up to be in place during the whole project phase or changes.

  1. Diagnose and resolve application issues promptly, working closely with the product vendor, surroundsystems and infrastructure teams.
  2. End-To-End Test or Production implementation support for digital channels projects and changes.
  3. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem- solving skills to understand the business requirement and help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
  4. Documentation and technical skills require for preparing the Test Strategy document for SJT, UAT, Security and Performance testing.


  1. 8anking Architectural skills must to have for supporting the banking applications and also to prepare the Architecture Document,

Production support also required a9er post-production implementationof any project or changes.

Calm under pressure and supportive of colleagues at all times.

Meticulous project management skills technically, dealing with multiple work streams simultaneously and familiarity in digital channelapplications.

Ensure that relevant documentation, policies and procedure related to Development Projects, Change Control, Access and Security are maintained and applied to all day-to-day activities related to Applications and their Platforms.

  1. Stay abreast with up-to-date knowledgeof emerging technology trends and developments in areasof interest to the organization.
  2. Proactive monitoring and maintenance during project or changes phases.
  3. Making sure that support theproject team is available whenever required.
  4. Is responsible for recommending necessarystrategy and technology for implementing any new Digital Channels Systems.
  5. Must ensure that the changingneeds of Businessare addressed continuously and appropriate software solutions are recommended,
  6. Must make sure that aproper work distribution is maintained within the team assigned.
  7. Must ensure that any development or enhancements are based on best practices in the Industry.
  8. Must co-ordinate with other sections within ITdepartment inresolving issues and disputes.

Must make sure that regular updates on progress are conveyed to Headof Digital Channels.


  1. Must make sure that high quality deliverables and work products areprovided

and meet commitments for the scheduleon satisfying the Bank'suser needs.

  1. Must ensure that appropriate corrective and preventive actions areundertaken and resolve problems as soon as they arise.
  2. Must contribute ideas to help thesupport team to become more effective and seek ideas from other team members.
  3. Must ensure compliance to Risk and Audit standards.


Specific Responsibilities:


  1. System Maintenance.
  • Must ensure that Digital Channel Applications availability is provided to the Project Testing team without any blockage of service.
  • All application maintenances of the Test Digital Channels Applications are

undertaken and executed.

  • Must ensurethat a detailed root causeanalysis of any issue is carried out andviable solution is recommended with the help of application vendors.


  1. System Enhancements.
  • Must set milestones for the activities undertaken by Technical Lead and coordinate between various groups within Bank Muscat IT departmentand respective application vendor for resolution of any issues.
  • Must assist the project or support team in making proper decisions and using right methodology during any development whenever applicable.
  • Must review the architecture, the design, specifications and technical documents related to any enhancement.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends and suggest course of action to lT Management.
  • Assist andadvise digital transformation andchange management teams on projects related to Digital Channels Applications.


Good academic background with extensive domainknowledge of supportsystems of a bank and project implementation, mainly Digital Channels Applications related.


7+ years of experience in thefield ofinformation technology with reputed organizations having knowledge and experience in the digital Channels Applications Management. The candidate should also have thorough knowledge of the following:


  • High level programming knowledge invarious languages and knowledge ofSDLC.
  • In-depth experience in system development, design, Architecture and implementation.
  • Planning, implementation and administration of Digital ChannelsApplications Systems through the use of control, procedures, measurements and strategies.
  • High-level knowledge of current technology inthe industry.
  • In depth knowledge inDocumentation & Report/MIS Preparation.
  • Good management capabilities with abilities tolead ateam.
  • Good communication, presentation skills with good command ofwritten English.
  • Good Interpersonal relations with pleasing personality.
