About the Role

Talent Acquisition Lead

This role goes beyond hiring — it’s about shaping the DNA of the organisation by bringing in the right people at the right time.

You’ll work closely with the founders and function heads to understand talent needs, design the hiring engine, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Hiring Ownership

  • Lead the entire recruitment lifecycle for roles across Product, Ops, Marketing, CX, E-com, Finance, and Leadership.
  • Build strong pipelines for critical & niche roles through proactive market mapping and sourcing.
  • Drive a structured interview & selection process with competency-based assessments.

2. Talent Strategy & Workforce Planning

  • Work directly with founders to understand org scale-up plans and quarterly hiring priorities.
  • Build hiring roadmaps, headcount plans, and timelines aligned to business needs.
  • Identify future talent gaps and build proactive pipelines.

3. Employer Branding & Candidate Experience

  • Own the candidate experience end-to-end: communication, scheduling, evaluations, offers.
  • Create compelling job descriptions, career pages, microsites, and hiring campaigns.
  • Partner with marketing to build Cumin Co.’s employer brand across LinkedIn, Instagram, and job platforms.

4. Sourcing Excellence

  • Use multiple sourcing channels — LinkedIn, Naukri, AngelList, communities, referrals, networks.
  • Build and maintain talent pools for frequently hired roles.
  • Explore creative sourcing options (niche communities, portfolio companies, colleges, hackathons, etc).

5. Process Building & TA Systems

  • Build and strengthen recruitment processes, dashboards, SLA trackers, and reporting.
  • Work with HR/Founders to define evaluation rubrics, interview panels & decision frameworks.
  • Own ATS hygiene, weekly reporting, funnel metrics & hiring success metrics.

6. Offer Management & Onboarding Support

  • Manage compensation benchmarking, negotiations and offer rollouts.
  • Ensure smooth transition from offer → onboarding → first 30 days experience.
  • Collaborate with HR and founders on culture fit assessments and onboarding kits.

What You’ll Bring

Experience & Skills

  • 4–6 years of recruitment experience (preferably in fast-scaling consumer/startup/D2C companies).
  • Proven success in hiring across multiple functions — tech/non-tech, mid-level & leadership roles.
  • Strong sourcing capability with hands-on comfort in LinkedIn, job boards, networks & referrals.
  • Excellent communication & stakeholder management with founders & function heads.
  • Structured, process-driven approach with the ability to scale hiring smoothly.
  • Hustle + speed mindset — ability to close roles without compromising quality.
