Job Description

Shift Details: Night Shift: 7:30PM to 4:30PM IST from Office (Monday to Friday)

Location: Andheri E, Mumbai.

Title: System Administrator


Your day in the office:

Requires excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing; the ability to be highly flexible in varying situations; the ability to work independently; the ability to organize and prioritize duties; ability to work in conjunction with other team members and key stakeholders, externally and internally.


Windows Server Administration:

stall, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2008 – 2022).

Perform routine system monitoring, verify the integrity, and availability of hardware, server resources, and databases.

Troubleshoot and resolve server-related issues, including performance problems, connectivity issues, and security vulnerabilities.

Manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and file-sharing services.


Active Directory Management:

Administer and maintain Active Directory for user, group, and device management.

Configure and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security and compliance.

Implement and manage Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), if applicable.

Ensure proper configuration of user permissions, access control policies, and LDAP integration. Monitor AD replication, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure the overall health and performance of AD services.


Microsoft 365 Management:

Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, etc.).

Manage user accounts, licenses, permissions, and group policies within Microsoft 365.

Provide M365 platform support and troubleshooting for issues related to email, collaboration tools, and cloud storage. Implement M365 security protocols, including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access policies.


Firewall Management:

Configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise firewalls (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).

Apply firewall rules and policies to protect the internal network. Analyze firewall logs and take necessary actions in case of threats or breaches.

Collaborate with other teams for network segmentation and security improvements.


VoIP Support:

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VoIP solutions (e.g., Cisco, Avaya, 3CX, Microsoft Teams Direct Routing).

Monitor call quality and resolve any related performance issues. Ensure uptime and reliability of communication systems.


Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

Provide expert-level technical support to internal staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.

Respond to support tickets and resolve problems within established SLAs. Document solutions and provide user training as necessary.


System Security & Backup:

Perform system backups and ensure disaster recovery processes are in place and tested regularly. Implement and monitor security protocols to protect the company’s network, data, and systems from cyber threats.

Regularly update and patch systems to ensure they remain secure and compliant.


Hyper-V Virtualization:

Administer and manage Hyper-V virtual environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.

Deploy, configure, and maintain virtual machines (VMs), virtual switches, and Hyper-V clusters. Troubleshoot virtual environment issues, including resource allocation, VM migration, and performance monitoring.


Laptop Configuration & Troubleshooting:

Configure new laptops and desktops (Windows OS) for employees, including OS installation, application setup, and network configuration.

Provide support for hardware and software issues on laptops and desktops, including diagnosing and fixing performance issues, software malfunctions, and hardware failures.

Maintain a standardized laptop image for consistent setup and deployment across the organization.


Laptop/Asset Maintenance:

Manage the lifecycle of laptops and other end-user devices, including inventory tracking, maintenance, and replacements.

Ensure timely updates to device configurations and software patches.

Coordinate with vendors for warranty services and repairs.

Track and manage IT assets, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company policies.


Network Understanding & CCNA-level Expertise:

Understand and manage network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, IP addressing, routing, and switching.

Troubleshoot network connectivity issues across internal networks and cloud-based services. Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.

Monitor network performance, ensuring efficient traffic management and identifying bottlenecks or security vulnerabilities.

Maintain and implement network security protocols to safeguard internal communications and systems. Experience with Cisco routers, switches, and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, VLANs).

CCNA-level knowledge or certification (or similar network certification) strongly preferred.


Collaboration & Reporting:

Work closely with other IT professionals to ensure smooth and efficient operation of all systems. Assist in system migrations, upgrades, and ongoing infrastructure improvements.

Provide regular system performance reports and suggest improvements
