About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore or Chennai. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in data center networking, with a strong focus on Cisco ACI architecture. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures that support our client's critical business operations. The Senior Network Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze network requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, contribute to strategic network initiatives, and ensure the stability and security of our data center environments. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 to 12 years of experience in data center networking domain.
- Proven hands-on experience with Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI).
- Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent knowledge is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of Cisco Nexus switches (7k, 5k, 2k series) architecture and features.
- Experience with routing and switching, including LAN, WAN, MPLS, and Internet technologies.
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS and NX-OS advanced features and configurations.
- Familiarity with data center hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in designing and deploying network architectures aligned with business needs.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network incidents efficiently.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools to streamline network operations.
- Good understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to document technical procedures clearly.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices and support team operations in a 24x7 environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot data center networking devices, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Maintain and upgrade network hardware and software components in accordance with organizational standards.
- Design scalable and resilient network architectures aligned with business goals and technical requirements.
- Analyze network incidents and problems, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Implement and enhance monitoring infrastructure to proactively identify and address network issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network deployment projects.
- Conduct network testing and validation to ensure compliance with performance and security standards.
- Automate routine network tasks through scripting to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Review and validate functional and technical design documents to identify risks and gaps.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and industry best practices to recommend improvements.
