Senior MIS Analyst (Sr. MIS Executive) — On-site, India

About The Opportunity

A growth-stage technology group operating in enterprise software, data analytics, and AI-enabled business solutions is hiring an on-site Senior MIS Analyst. You will join a fast-paced analytics & operations team that turns transactional and operational data into reliable management reports, executive dashboards, and automated insights used to drive commercial and financial decisions.

Role & Responsibilities

Own end-to-end MIS reporting: gather requirements, design templates, source data, validate outputs, and deliver timely management reports and executive dashboards.
Build and maintain automated dashboards and scheduled reports using Power BI/Tableau and advanced Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, Macros) to track KPIs and business trends.
Write, tune, and manage SQL queries against production/analytics databases to extract, transform and model data for reporting needs.
Ensure data quality and governance: perform reconciliations, validation checks, and establish controls to prevent discrepancies in financial and operational reports.
Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations and IT to align metrics, translate business needs into actionable reports, and support monthly/quarterly business reviews.
Drive report automation and process improvements—document processes, implement ETL/automation scripts, and reduce manual interventions.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

3+ years of hands-on MIS/reporting experience in a corporate or technology environment, ideally on-site in India.
Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, Power Query and VBA/macros for automation.
Proficient in SQL for data extraction and transformation; experience connecting queries to BI tools.
Experience building dashboards in Power BI or Tableau and presenting insights to stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, data validation skills and an understanding of basic accounting/finance metrics.

Preferred

Exposure to ERP/financial systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle) and basic ETL/data-pipeline familiarity; experience with Python for data tasks is a plus.
