What you’ll do:

As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for shaping product features and driving the technical execution of the product roadmap. You will work closelywith your team to build systems that stress scalability, accuracy, and robustness. This is a hands-on leadership role – you will actively participate in design, architecture reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and work alongside engineers to solve problems. Your team will be


presented with ample opportunities to tackle complex business problems and create real impact for our customers and partners.



Key responsibilities:

  • Own the engineering roadmap, architecture, scalability, and quality of products.
  • Actively contribute to design discussions, architecture reviews, and coding standards; step in with hands-on support when needed.
  • Collaborate with ProductManagers and Businessteams to definelong-term product strategy and release planning in a fast-paced environment.
  • Guide your team through complex technical challenges in fintech and lending tech domains, including AI/ML-driven credit scoring.
  • Mentor and coach engineers across levels; foster strong technical decision-making, code quality, and delivery discipline.
  • Establish, enforce, and evolve engineering best practices.
  • Drive adoption of modern data engineering practices: big data processing, PySpark, NoSQL/unstructured data, and scalable data pipelines.
  • Balance short-term deliverywith long-term architecture sustainability.
  • Foster a cultureof ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and implement learningand development plans, invest in team members’ career growth, and create succession pipelines.



What you need?

  • 8+ years of experience in end-to-end cloud software development with exposure to scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure distributed systems. At least 1–2 years managing engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (preferably Computer Science or related fields) from a reputed institute (IITs, NITs, or equivalent top schools preferred).
  • Strong CS fundamentals, algorithms, and excellentproblem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on experience in system design(both high-level and low-level) with the ability to validate and improve solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML model integration, particularly in fintech, lendingtech, or credit scoring, is a strong advantage. Basic knowledge of statistical analysis,

mathematical modelling, and machine learning.

  • Deep expertise in Python and/or Java and related stack (Spring Boot), microservice-based architecture, and building maintainable, unit-tested code.


  • Proficiency in databases (SQL & NoSQL), message queues (Kafka) ,and data engineering stacks (Big Data, PySpark, unstructured databases).
  • Very comfortable with data lakes, warehouses, and ETL/ELT paradigms. Familiarity with Spark, Cassandra, AWS data pipeline stack(Athena, S3, Glue data catalog), Airflow etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and infrastructure tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
  • Knowledge of web technologies (JS, HTML5, CSS),UI patterns (MVC,MVVM, MVP), and exposure to Android development is a plus.
  • Comfortable operatingin high-growth startupenvironments; thrives in ambiguity and drives clarity.
  • Must be comfortable working fast fast-paced agile environments. Ability to plan, prioritise, estimate and execute releases with a strong degree of predictability.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with proven ability to develop and grow teams.
  • Prior experience in fintech, e-commerce, or product development is highly desirable.
  • Experience with AWS stack preferred.
  • Be comfortable with a mix of hands-on development and people management. Ability to propose and validate system design - low-level and high-level both. Enjoy jamming on code refactoring, architecture and design principles.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business stakeholders.
