Job Description

Job purpose

The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing content, managing platforms, supporting campaign execution, and ensuring strong community engagement. The ideal candidate is creative, data-driven, and passionate about building brand presence across digital platforms


Primary

Social Media Strategy & Planning

• Assist in developing social media strategies aligned with brand and campaign objectives.

• Support monthly content planning and contribute creative ideas for engaging posts.

• Ensure content aligns with brand tone, positioning, and visual identity.

Content Creation & Oversight

• Generate high-quality, platform-appropriate content (copy, images, reels, short videos).

• Coordinate with designers, editors, and production teams to finalize deliverables.

• Ensure timely publishing across channels with consistent quality checks.

Community Management

• Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly using the brand voice.

• Engage regularly with followers, trending topics, and relevant communities.

• Maintain a positive online reputation and escalate issues when necessary.

Analytics & Reporting

• Track post and campaign performance using platform insights and analytics tools.

• Prepare weekly/monthly reports with key metrics, learnings, and recommendations.

• Identify patterns to improve engagement, reach, and overall performance.

Campaign Execution

• Support the execution of organic and paid social media campaigns.

• Assist with contests, giveaways, and promotional activities.

• Coordinate timelines, assets, and approvals to ensure smooth implementation.


2. Secondary:

Influencer & Partnership Management

• Support identification and outreach to relevant influencers/creators.

• Assist in coordination, communication, briefing, and deliverable tracking.

Paid Ads Coordination

• Work with internal teams or external partners to support paid campaign setup.

• Help monitor ads performance and flag optimization opportunities.

Trend Research & Competitor Analysis

• Stay updated on platform algorithms, trends, new features, and industry updates.

• Monitor competitor activities and share insights for strategic improvements.

Event Coverage & On-Ground Content

• Capture behind-the-scenes content, live updates, and on-ground activities.

• Support content creation during shoots, events, and brand activations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with sales, product, PR, and customer experience teams.

• Align content with ongoing campaigns, product updates, or brand priorities.


Qualification:


Experience:

• 3–5 years of proven experience in social media management, digital marketing

• Strong knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and analytics tools.

• Proficiency in using digital marketing tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Canva, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, etc.).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global business environment.
