- About the Position This position will be responsible for identifying opportunities in renewable energy supply chain management for supply of WTG, Solar Module and Battery storage system and work with the Project management and Engineering team to facilitate the successful completion and management of a large portfolio of renewable energy contracts by fostering foster strategic commercial relationships with suppliers and demonstrate strong analytical skills through a proven ability to negotiate supply contracts and deliver results. This role will provide the candidate with a unique opportunity to join a high impact team and gain a wide range of exposure to global energy markets.

- Sourcing Strategy Development: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for WTG, Solar Module and Battery storage System considering factors such as cost, quality, availability, and supplier capabilities.
- Supplier Identification and Qualification: Identify and qualify suppliers capable of meeting the requirements. Conduct assessments to evaluate suppliers capabilities, quality systems, and capacity.
- Negotiation and Contracting: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions for materials and services required for new product introductions. Draft and execute contracts to formalize agreements with selected suppliers.
- Cost Management: Drive cost management initiatives to optimize total landed cost and achieve cost reduction targets for new products.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment with business objectives and promote collaboration for continuous improvement.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to sourcing, supply chain disruptions, and supplier performance that could impact new product introductions.
- Project Management: Coordinate cross-functional activities and timelines related to sourcing and procurement to support the successful launch of new products.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the sourcing function to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve overall performance. Build strategies to establish suppliers relations globally and in the region, increase deflation by negotiating with suppliers year on year, localizing parts or BCC sourcing with reduced lead time, best pay plus other terms & VMIs etc. by collaborating with GCMs, Site teams across Globe.
- Monitor, forecast, and develop strategies to capitalize on macroeconomic and industry trends impacting the assigned commodity and business in region to minimize total material costs, ensure material availability, capacity, and quality work with cross functional team members for high performance and able to drive accountable work culture, retaining and motivating diverse perspective and culture.
- Ensure competitive prices during pre-bids/NPIs and execute on time by getting released POs to preferred suppliers, be part of product development cycle and able to deliver sourcing deliverables.
- Knowledge of CTU/ISTS reverse auction & its impacts on WTG pricing trends.
- Sourcing experience related to steel plates, flanges, and internals for WTG towers, including contracting with major manufacturers.
- Understand WTG requirements on logistics, custom clearances, related documentation from compliance aspects etc. (If any)
Non-negotiable Skills And Abilities
- Education/Qualification/Skill Set and Persona Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business administration, engineering, sustainability, or equivalent work experience and expertise. 12+ years of experience in strategic sourcing functions, commodity management and contract negotiation experience. SCM skills working with large scale solar, wind, and/or storage development projects. Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail to support review and interpretation of contracts and ensure vendor compliance. Proactive team player with high emotional intelligence capable of adapting to ambiguous environments with cross-group collaboration and problem-solving abilities. Growth mindset with problem-solving skills.
