ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Lead to drive the comprehensive testing strategy and execution for our global HR Transformation programme. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Workday implementation and integrated HR technology ecosystem across multiple countries. The successful candidate will lead all testing activities from test planning through to hypercare, utilizing Turnkey as the primary test automation platform to deliver efficient, scalable, and repeatable testing solutions. Working closely with the HR Tech Lead, Data Lead, and Integration Lead, you will establish robust testing frameworks and mentor a team of testers to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality HR solutions while building reusable testing assets for future deployments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Test Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive test strategy covering functional, integration, performance, security, and user acceptance testing across all Workday modules and connected systems.
- Establish testing standards, methodologies, and best practices aligned with the programme's quality objectives and organizational standard and coordinate this with the partner testing team to adhere to these across multiple countries and functional areas
Test Automation & Turnkey Implementation:
- Design and implement automated testing frameworks using Turnkey platform to ensure efficient regression testing and continuous quality assurance.
- Create reusable automated test scripts for Workday modules including HCM, Recruitment, Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, Reward, Talent, and Performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Senior Data Lead to develop comprehensive data validation and migration testing strategies.
- Collaborate with the Integration Lead to ensure thorough testing of all system integrations and API connections.
- Partner with Functional Leads across all HR modules to understand business requirements and translate them into detailed test scenarios ensuring security testing coverage
Test Planning & Execution:
- Ensure the partner is creating detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for all phases of the programme including multiple prototypes and final deployment.
- Manage test environments, test data provisioning, and coordinate testing schedules across multiple workstreams.
- Establish defect management processes using Jira, ensuring proper classification, prioritization, and resolution tracking.
- Implement quality gates and exit criteria for each testing phase to ensure deliverables meet acceptance standards.
Toolkit Creation & Knowledge Transfer:
- Develop reusable testing frameworks, templates, and accelerator tools using Turnkey that enable Flutter to deploy testing solutions rapidly for future implementations.
- Create comprehensive test documentation, playbooks, and training materials for knowledge transfer to BAU teams.
- Establish automated reporting and dashboard capabilities for real-time visibility into testing progress and quality metrics.
TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE
- A minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in software testing with at least 5 years in senior or lead testing roles on large-scale ERP or HR transformation programmes.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Turnkey test automation platform, including test script development, framework design, and performance testing capabilities.
- Proven experience testing Workday implementations across multiple modules, with deep understanding of HR business processes and data flows.
- Strong expertise in test automation frameworks, API testing, and integration testing methodologies.
- Experience with defect management tools (Jira preferred) and test management platforms.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with ability to mentor and develop testing professionals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail in identifying and documenting defects.
- Superior communication skills with ability to present testing results and quality metrics to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies within complex, multi-workstream programmes.
