They support our audit teams on their technology journey and ensure that we are delivering the audit of the future, today.This role is a unique opportunity to broaden your horizons in the rapidly growing and evolving discipline of audit technology for individuals with both Financial Services and non-Financial Services backgrounds.The individual will work in teams delivering either financial statement audit, technology audit, audit-related data, analytics and tools, independent assurance over other information such as regulatory/ESG/internal controls; learning and development; quality/risk/knowledge management, and/or specialist, technical accounting advice (non-audited entities only).As part of Clara Technology team (CTT) you are responsible for ‘keeping the lights on’ for all the audit tools we access within the UK. Support the deployment of new audit tools, including the ongoing support for existing tool, for example patching, version upgrades, and the deployment of any support fixes.With significant growth in our technology footprint and full deployment of KCw, we are spending a lot of time deployment, controls, operations management and business support, ensuring the correct level of support is place for all the new technology and change.
Description Of The Role
Work in teams delivering either financial statement audit; technology audit; audit related data, analytics and tools; independent assurance over other info such as regulatory/ESG/internal controls; learning and development; quality/risk/knowledge management; and/or specialist, technical accounting advice (non-audited entities only). You will:
- Navigate and triage business escalations and issues including supporting engagement teams in tool specific queries and QSC tickets using your audit experience to support in identify root causes.
- Develop operational support and controls framework for KCw to manage and mitigate any application or application related data risks leveraging your knowledge of audit standards and risk management to ensure compliance and robustness.
- Work on optimizing KCw server hosting costs and engagement management on the server
- Project manage/deliver smaller deployment of audit tools drawing on your audit background to ensure tools meet expectations.
- Support the application and product manager in all aspect's application lifecycle management – helping identify required functionality, testing, proof of concept, accreditation, business support including guidance/methodology/training/ champion network, limited deployment, capture/action feedback, full deployment and ongoing support.
- Creating and maintaining support documentation associated with the process and governance of the audit tools in CTT portfolio.
- Ensure that relevant team members also have a good, up to date understanding of the tool through demos and 1:1s where necessary including how it supports audit workflows and enhances audit quality.
- Work with the application manager in CTT and product manager in innovations to analyze tool usage/KPIs to assess impact on audit efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicate any updates or changes to relevant stakeholders in particular those affecting audit procedures.
- Demonstrate Work collaboratively within Clara Technology Team, as well as with EWT, Audit Risk Management, DPP Audit, other key stakeholders and the business bringing your audit expertise to cross-functional discussions and decision-making.
Other responsibilities will typically include supervising teams; coaching and development in technical, risk & compliance management, operational and quality management; project management including budgeting and planning; delivery of quality reports; and some performance management responsibilities.Due to the nature of the role significant time may be spent at client sites.

Experience and knowledge requirements:
- You want to improve audit quality and auditor’s experience through the design and development of audit technology
- You are eager to learn about product management and are interested in supporting product development processes. (Knowledge of software testing and application lifecycle Management)
- Understanding of Audit phases to plan deliveries to avoid business disruptions.
- Keen interest in technology and data and will have worked on an audit where audit tools have been used and found beneficial.
- Understand the benefits of using audit tools on our engagements and how data driven audit procedures can be used to drive quality and efficiency.
- Implementing risk and change management initiatives within the audit function
