Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Architect to join our dynamic engineering team. As a Senior Automation Architect, you will play a key role in the strategy, design, implementation and maintenance of automation solutions for our cloud-based applications and infrastructure. This role will require extensive experience and deep understanding of UI and API automation, as well as hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and cloud technologies like AWS and Azure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and operations teams, to drive automation initiatives, streamline processes and ensure comprehensive automation coverage, enabling faster releases and higher-quality products. This is a key leadership role that will require you to be both a technical expert and a mentor to junior team members. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain UI & API automation frameworks & solutions for both infrastructure and application-level automation using best practices and industry standards. Architect Kubernetes (K8s)-based solutions for deploying and managing containerized applications at scale Leverage cloud services and tools within AWS, Azure, and other cloud platforms to automate Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance cloud-native application architectures with automation frameworks. Define and lead the strategy for Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and automated testing frameworks. Lead technical discussions, reviews, and workshops to drive automation best practices. Mentor junior engineers in automation techniques and tools. Communicate and collaborate with a co-located and distributed team of Engineers, architects, and product managers to align automation efforts with business and technical requirements. Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of automation processes Monitor and analyze automation frameworks to ensure ongoing improvement and adaptation to new technologies. Evaluate and recommend new AI-based tools, frameworks, and technologies that improve the efficiency and scalability of automation processes. Qualifications Minimum of 10 years of experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field Kubernetes (K8s): Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes. UI Automation: Experience with UI automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. API Automation: Strong experience with API testing and automation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or JMeter. Cloud Technologies: Deep understanding of cloud platforms, like AWS, GCP, Azure. CI/CD Tools: Experience with Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar tools. Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar scripting/programming languages for automation. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Familiarity with tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for cloud infrastructure automation. Knowledge of monitoring and log analytic tools like prometheus, elastic search, opensearch, kibana is good to have Knowledge of at least one RDBMS database like Oracle, Postgresql, MS SQL Server, etc. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor teams and present complex ideas clearly. Problem-solving mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment. Experience with microservices architectures and related automation. Knowledge of security best practices in automation and cloud environments. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices Preferred Qualifications Experience with AI-driven automation tools and frameworks. Knowledge of machine learning libraries and how they can be applied to automation tasks.
