Job Title: Senior IT Engineer Department: ITReports to: Hospital AdministratorLocation: Raipur, ChhattisgarhHospital: Suyash Institute of Medical ScienceJob SummaryThe Senior IT Engineer will lead and manage day-to-day IT operations with a strong focus onsoftware systems, enterprise applications, and database management. The position requiresbalancing hands-on technical expertise with managerial responsibilities such as teamsupervision, vendor coordination, compliance, and reporting. Acting as a key bridge betweenIT staff and management, the Senior IT Engineer ensures reliable, secure, and efficient ITsystems that support organizational growth.Key Responsibilities

1. Application & Software Management

• Oversee hospital management system (software) and other enterprise applications,ensuring smooth functioning and minimal downtime.• Lead troubleshooting and resolution of escalated software/application issues.• Coordinate software upgrades, patches, and integrations with existing systems.• Monitor application performance and prepare MIS/reports for management.

2. Database & Data Security

• Manage database administration (SQL/Oracle) including tuning, backup, and recovery.• Implement and monitor data security, privacy, and access control policies.• Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.

3. Team Leadership & Support

• Supervise IT Executives/Engineers; allocate tasks and monitor performance.• Mentor and train team members for improved application and software support.• Conduct user training sessions on new applications and IT best practices.• Act as deputy to IT Manager in their absence.

4. Project & Vendor Management

• Support IT Manager in implementing digital transformation initiatives (HRIMS, mobileapps, cloud adoption).• Coordinate with vendors for AMC, licensing, upgrades, and service-level agreements.• Ensure IT documentation, audits, and compliance reporting are completed on time asper required hospital standards.

5. Policy, Compliance & Reporting

• Enforce IT policies related to software usage, licensing, and data security.• Maintain IT stock and software license records to ensure legal compliance.• Generate regular reports for IT operations, risks, and improvements.Requirements

Education:

• Graduate in IT/Computer Science/Engineering (Preferred: Certifications in ITIL,Database Administration, Cloud, or Cybersecurity).

Experience:

• 6–7 years of IT experience with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/lead role.

Skills:

• Strong expertise in HMS/ERP, HRMS, and enterprise applications.• Database management (SQL/Oracle) and application integration skills.• Good knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).• Ability to lead IT executives/engineers, manage support operations, and driveprojects.• Strong communication, vendor coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
