Job Description

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for managing the recruitment and onboarding process for both site and office staff, which includes laborers and administrative personnel. This involves conducting interviews, collaborating with department heads, and ensuring timely hiring. Additionally, you will oversee onboarding and induction programs to facilitate a smooth transition for new employees. In terms of employee relations and engagement, you will be tasked with addressing any grievances and fostering a positive work environment. Regular site visits will be conducted to interact with the workforce, and you will also organize training and development initiatives for staff members. Ensuring compliance with labor laws, such as PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements, is a crucial aspect of this role. Maintaining accurate records of site workers, contracts, and attendance in accordance with legal standards will be part of your responsibilities. Moreover, you will be required to manage attendance, leave records, and overtime calculations for site workers and handle any dispute resolution, including collaborating with legal consultants if necessary. Furthermore, you will assist in conducting performance appraisals, establishing KPIs for employees, and identifying training needs to support skill development programs. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of HR experience, specifically 2 years within the construction industry. An in-depth understanding of labor laws and compliance regulations in the construction sector is essential, as well as experience in managing a blue-collar workforce. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities are required, along with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Preferred skills for this position include familiarity with HRMS software, experience in safety and compliance training, and proficiency in the local language to enhance communication with site workers. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule located in Trivandrum, Kerala. A reliable commute or willingness to relocate is necessary. The candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of HR experience. This role requires in-person work.,
