JOB OVERVIEW

Senior

You will play a strategic role in driving infrastructure excellence—optimizing performance, ensuring system reliability, and advancing automation and DevOps practices across the organization. RESPONSIBILITIES

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

• Manage and optimize AWS/Heroku infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and cost-effectiveness
• Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures
• Monitor cloud spending and implement cost optimization strategies

DevOps & Automation

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for continuous deployment and integration
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar languages
• Implement and manage containerization solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) Design, implement, deploy and manage systems/applications monitoring processes and tools to proactively identify and resolve problems within the company computing environment.

Monitoring & Reliability

• Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, or similar
• Respond to and resolve infrastructure incidents, participate in on-call rotation
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
• Maintain and improve system uptime, meeting defined SLAs

Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain security best practices across cloud infrastructure
• Manage access controls, encryption, and security monitoring
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations

Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity

• Implement and test backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Document and maintain disaster recovery plans
• Identify and mitigate single points of failure

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with Development, Data Engineering, and QA team
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
• Participate in capacity planning and infrastructure roadmap discussions

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5-8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years focused on AWS
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, IAM, etc.)
• Proven experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible)
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and cloud architecture patterns
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, New Relic, ELK stack, Prometheus/Grafana)
• Experience working in SaaS environments with high availability requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

SKILLS

• Deep expertise in AWS cloud services and architecture35.Strong DevOps mindset with focus on automation and efficiency
• Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python preferred)
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of database technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
