About the Role

Bapna Capital Group is seeking a senior finance professional with deep expertise in accounting, taxation, and financial automation to lead finance, compliance, and system-building across our multi-entity investment and advisory platform.

This is not a routine compliance role. You will operate at the intersection of finance, strategy, and technology—building scalable, data-driven financial systems that support a rapidly growing, globally oriented capital advisory and investment firm.

We are looking for a rare profile that combines the technical depth of a CA or CFA, the strategic thinking of a CFO, and the execution mindset of a systems builder. Your mandate is to create financial clarity, optimize tax and capital structures, and automate processes to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Own end-to-end accounting and financial reporting across multiple entity structures, including LLPs, Private Limited companies, and proprietorships
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian GAAP, Ind-AS, and US GAAP / IFRS where applicable
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and management reporting
• Manage consolidation of multi-entity financials, inter-company transactions, and capital allocation tracking
• Build and maintain high-quality MIS, dashboards, and performance reports for leadership

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

• Lead direct and indirect tax planning, filings, and compliance, including Income Tax, GST, TDS, ROC, FEMA, and related regulations
• Design and execute advanced tax structuring for group entities, family offices, and cross-border transactions
• Ensure compliance with transfer pricing, corporate law, SEBI regulations, and other statutory frameworks
• Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax advisors, and regulators to maintain strong governance and audit outcomes

Financial Automation & Process Excellence

• Implement and scale finance automation using tools such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Power BI, Excel Macros, and workflow automation
• Drive digitization of finance operations to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy, speed, and transparency
• Design integrated reporting and analytics systems to support forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic decision-making
• Strengthen internal controls and finance processes through technology and system-led thinking

Strategic Finance & FP&A

• Develop cash flow models, budgeting frameworks, and budget-versus-actual variance analysis
• Support capital raising, valuation modeling, and financial due diligence across advisory and investment mandates
• Provide actionable insights to leadership on financial strategy, performance monitoring, and investor reporting
• Partner closely with founders and senior leadership on long-term financial planning

Who You Are

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or CFA with 5–10 years of post-qualification experience
• Strong grounding in accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and finance transformation
• Highly proficient in Excel and Power BI; experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Zoho, or Tally Prime
• Exposure to automation, scripting, or data tools (Python, SQL, advanced Excel automation) is a strong plus
• Comfortable handling complex, multi-entity structures and cross-border considerations
• A structured thinker with CFO-level perspective, consulting-style problem solving, and strong execution discipline

Preferred Background

• Experience with Big 4 firms, leading corporate finance teams, or boutique investment / advisory firms
• Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, and international financial reporting
• Exposure to FEMA, DTAA, cross-border tax structuring, or fund / investment accounting
• Strong interest in leveraging automation, AI, and technology in finance functions
