Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Nangli Najafgarh

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹50,000

Work Timings: 9:30AM - 6:30AM

Working days: Monday to Saturday

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in manufacturing to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive manufacturing accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and proven leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure regulatory and company compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).
  • Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs (materials, labor, overhead) and provide insights to improve cost efficiency and profitability.
  • Conduct periodic financial audits to identify discrepancies, risks, or errors, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with operations, procurement, sales, and other cross-functional teams to support strategic decision-making.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes relevant to the manufacturing sector.
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff to enhance their performance and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on manufacturing accounting.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency with ERP/accounting software (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing a team of accounting professionals.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
