- The Senior Solution Architect – SAP MM S/4HANA is responsible for leading solution
design, driving end-to-end architecture, and ensuring successful delivery of complex
SAP programs. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, projectteams, and technical experts to define scalable, high-quality solutions aligned withbest practices.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Architecture
- Lead the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP S/4HANA implementations,
rollouts, and transformation projects.
- Define and validate solution design across core SAP modules, ensuring alignment
with business requirements and enterprise architecture standards.
- Prepare To-Be process maps, architecture diagrams, integration landscapes, and
design documents.
- Drive clean-core strategy, fit-to-standard workshops, and functional/integration
design decisions.
- Provide guidance on S/4HANA innovations, best practices, extensibility framework,
and Fiori-driven process adoption.
Functional Leadership
- Conduct detailed analysis of complex business processes and propose optimized
SAP-based solutions.
- Lead cross-functional discussions covering MM, SD, PP, QM, FICO, EWM, and Ariba for third-party integrations.
- Validate and review Functional Design Specifications, Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, and UAT results.
- Oversee configuration quality, integration touchpoints, and adherence to SAP best practices.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and SAP system capabilities while minimizing customizations.
Project Delivery & Governance
- Lead Fit/Gap analysis, solution workshops, and client design approvals.
- Support data migration strategy (Migration Cockpit, LSMW, BAPIs) and cutover
planning.
- Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, quality reviews, and scope management.
- Provide technical and functional leadership to consultants and offshore/on-site
teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of project artifacts as per SAP Activate methodology.
Integration & Technology
- Provide architecture direction for SAP interfaces using IDocs, APIs, BTP, CPI, PI/PO,
or middleware tools.
- Ensure seamless integration with non-SAP systems, third-party logistics solutions,
and external platforms.
- Support S/4HANA migration or conversion projects, including assessment, readiness
checks, and optimization.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Act as the primary solution advisor to business and IT leadership.
- Present solution options, decision matrices, and impact assessments to
stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations with strong communication, documentation, and
presentation skills.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Deep expertise in SAP S/4HANA (at least 2–3 S/4HANA end-to-end
implementations).
- Strong domain knowledge across Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Inventory,
Logistics, and Finance integration.
- Proficient in SAP Fiori apps, extensibility options, and clean-core principles.
- Strong analytical, architectural, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent client-facing, communication, and leadership abilities.
Experience Requirements
- 12-15 years of relevant experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
- Minimum 8–10 full end-to-end SAP ECC/S/4HANA implementation projects.
- Minimum 4–5 rollout projects and hands-on experience in support/enhancement
engagements.
- Cross-industry exposure: FMCG, Retail, Trading, Automobile, Pharma, Cement,
Textiles (preferred).
- Experience in SAP HANA migration (optional but advantageous).
Technical Knowledge
- Master Data, Purchasing, Inventory, Pricing, Lean Services, Account Determination,
Invoice Verification, Batch & Serial Management, Special Stocks.
- Configuration expertise: Material Master, Business Partner, Output Management,
BRF+, Fiori apps.
- Integration knowledge with FICO, PP, SD, QM, EWM, Ariba, and third-party systems.
- Hands-on with SAP reporting tools, Fiori dashboards, and analytics.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.E./B. Tech), Computer Applications, or MBA.
- SAP certifications in S/4HANA or relevant modules preferred.
