Job Title: Team Lead – Certification Sales (Inside Sales – Upgrade Desk) Location: Bangalore Department: Sales / Inside Sales Reporting To: Sales Manager / Business Head Role Overview: The Team Lead – Certification Sales will manage a team responsible for upgrading existing learners to advanced or premium certification programs. The role requires strong leadership, sales acumen, and an ability to drive performance while ensuring a high-quality customer experience. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of Inside Sales Executives. • Set daily/weekly targets and ensure achievement of revenue goals. • Conduct training, performance evaluations, and feedback sessions. • Drive a positive, motivated, and target-oriented team culture. Sales Strategy & Execution • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell certification upgrades. • Ensure the team follows structured sales and follow-up processes. • Improve conversion ratios through objection handling and value-based selling. • Collaborate with product, academic, and marketing teams for updated insights. Customer Relationship & Escalation Handling • Ensure smooth and high-quality customer interactions at all stages. • Resolve escalations effectively and ensure learner satisfaction. • Maintain ongoing communication with learners to support their upgrade journey. Reporting & Process Management • Track and report daily sales performance, funnel movement, and revenue forecasts. • Ensure accurate data entry and workflow management in CRM systems. • Optimize processes to improve productivity and conversion rates. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred). • 3–6 years of experience in Inside Sales / EdTech / B2C Consultative Sales. • Minimum 1–2 years of experience managing or mentoring a sales team. • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. • Experience working with CRM tools and sales metrics dashboards. • Target-driven mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
