Insta Power Control & Equipments Pvt. Ltd. (IPCE) is one of Central India’s largest electrical manufacturing and EPC companies with over 35 years of experience. IPCE specializes in Electrical Turnkey Solutions, MEP EPC projects, and manufacturing of HT/LT Control Panels, Busducts, Cable Trays, Raceways, Junction Boxes, and other electrical infrastructure products. IPCE is the first in the region to conduct and pass the IEC-61439 TTA test on its own design.


Role Description:

The Sales & Business Development Engineer will be responsible for generating new business, managing key client relationships, preparing techno-commercial proposals, and driving revenue growth for IPCE’s electrical EPC projects and manufacturing products. The role requires a strong technical background combined with commercial acumen and field-level market exposure.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Electrical EPC, HT/LT panels, busducts, cable trays, and related electrical products.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, builders, industrial clients, OEMs, and government bodies.
  • Track upcoming tenders, enquiries, and projects through market intelligence, portals, and networking.
  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and technical discussions to understand project requirements.
  • Prepare techno-commercial offers, BOQs, estimates, and pricing in coordination with the design and estimation team.
  • Study tender documents, specifications, drawings, and contractual terms.
  • Coordinate for pre-bid meetings, clarifications, and submission of bids.
  • Negotiate commercial and technical terms with clients to close orders.
  • Ensure smooth handover of confirmed orders to the execution and production teams.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Planning, Purchase, Production, QA, and Projects) to ensure commitments made to clients are met.
  • Support project teams during execution for variation orders, extra items, and amendments.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
  • Identify new product opportunities and emerging sectors (renewable energy, infrastructure, data centers, industrial projects, etc.).
  • Provide regular feedback to management on market conditions and customer expectations.
  • Maintain CRM data, enquiry trackers, and sales MIS reports.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales forecasts and performance reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation of offers, orders, and client communications.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • 2–7 years of experience in Sales or Business Development in Electrical/MEP industry.
  • Strong understanding of control panels, switchgear, electrical systems, and EPC workflows.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read SLDs, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Self-driven, result-oriented, and comfortable with field travel.
