Job Description

Sulphites Division, set up in 1994 to manufacture Sodium Sulphite and Sodium Metabisulphite in different grades serving to Textiles, Pulp & Paper, Leather Tannery, Detergent, Water Treatment, Mines and Food industry with a vision to be number one player in the world for Sulphites.

This position will be based out of Mumbai. As a Sales & Business Development Manager in India for Sulphites, the key responsibilities involve the following:

Business Delivery - Sulphites Division:

  • To achieve the budgeted export sales targets for the region.
  • To focus on global demand and supply situation and to look for opportunities to expand.
  • To closely monitor competitors moves.
  • Formulation of short term and long-term marketing strategy mainly for SMBS, SS, SBS & speciality products to enhance sales.
  • To explore segments/markets giving high contribution margins.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements; Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • To continuously find ways to gain competitive edge through product differentiation.
  • Region wise/segment wise analysis.
  • To support all team members on market development, market information, update scenario, stock position, planning.
  • Monitor the performance of Sulphites for all the regions; Facilitate development of high impact sales tools

Seamless Execution & Receivable Management:

  • Coordination with HO at Thailand for proper execution.
  • Coordination with logistics for timely execution of orders.
  • Communicate the customers about steps taken or initiatives taken to their complaints.
  • Educate customers for new developments.
  • To monitor monthly sales and make 3 months rolling production plan for the region.
  • Periodic review of account receivables and overdue and to control it within targeted level

Market Study & Customer Management:

  • Market Visits and channel agreement.
  • Develop market intelligence for Sulphites division.
  • Regular customer visits.
  • Develop strategy on Key Account Management.
  • By periodically checking import statistics to track target markets of competitors.
  • Monitor competitors move by regular visits to markets.
  • To focus on new geographies in order meet target numbers.
  • To add value to our products and services.
  • To check on new developments and technologies.
  • To form regional strategy (power zone) to meet/exceed budgeted numbers.
  • Undertake new initiatives to improve business brand equity globally.
  • Create marketing content for promotional activities.
  • Consistently strive to improve scores on customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Preparing monthly report and presentations for the regions.

Financial & Budgetary Control:

  • Review and setting credit limits and ensure timely payments from customers.
  • Support pricing, margin management, and cost-efficiency initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term business planning.
