Job Description

Role Overview:

The Retail Operations Manager – Pan India will be responsible for overseeing and managing retail operations across multiple regions in India. The role will ensure smooth functioning of stores, adherence to SOPs, achievement of sales and operational targets, and consistent customer experience. This position requires strong leadership, process orientation, and multi-location management expertise in the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

. Retail Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across all stores Pan India.
  • Ensure adherence to operational standards, policies, and SOPs.
  • Drive profitability and efficiency at store and regional levels.
  • Monitor inventory management, shrinkage, and loss prevention.

2. Business Performance & P&L

  • Ensure sales and revenue targets are met region-wise.
  • Track and analyze KPIs (footfall, conversion, AOV, ATV, sales/sq. ft., etc.).
  • Implement cost-control measures to optimize store profitability.

Customer Experience & Service Excellence

  • Maintain consistent customer service standards across all outlets.
  • Implement feedback and grievance management systems.
  • Train staff on customer-first approach.

People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate regional/store managers and staff.
  • Oversee workforce planning, hiring, and training across stores.
  • Drive performance culture through regular reviews and development plans.

Expansion & Compliance

  • Support store rollout, new launches, and pan-India expansion projects.
  • Ensure statutory and legal compliance across all locations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain).

Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare and present operational dashboards and performance reports.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership for decision-making.


Key Requirements:

  • Graduate / Postgraduate with specialization in Operations / Retail Management.
  • 8–12 years of retail operations experience with at least 4–5 years in a multi-region leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of retail industry practices, compliance, and customer service.
  • Proven ability to manage large, diverse teams across geographies.
  • Analytical mind set with proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, and retail MIS tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across India.
