Role Description

lead and grow IMCO’s Steel and Mining business in Eastern India



Key Responsibilities :


Sales Management & Business Development

  • Oversee and guide the regional Sales Engineers, setting targets, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment with IMCO’s sales strategy.


  • Personally lead strategic sales discussions and key account management with major customers while empowering the sales team to drive territory-level growth.


  • Identify and develop business opportunities across steel plants, mining operations, and contractor networks within Eastern India.


Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor a team of Sales Engineers, providing coaching, technical support, and market guidance.


  • Foster a high-performance, accountable culture within the team while ensuring structured territory coverage and customer engagement.


Operational Oversight

  • Oversee project execution and service delivery at customer sites, ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to timelines.


  • Support the implementation of IMCO’s wear management and maintenance solutions in customer operations.


Strategic & Market Engagement

  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, providing regular feedback to the leadership team for strategic alignment.


  • Build and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including steel mills, mining companies, and EPC contractors.


Reporting & Administration

  • Monitor regional P&L and prepare periodic business reports outlining sales pipeline, team performance, and customer issues.


  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are aligned with operational capabilities.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Mining, or related fields (MBA preferred).


  • 10–15 years of experience in sales, business development, or regional operations in the steel and/or mining industries.


  • Prior experience managing and developing a technical sales team is essential.


  • Strong network within steel and mining companies in Eastern India.


  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.


  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
