Let Me Tell You About The Role
The Raw Material Planning Coordinator is a member of the Plant Raw & Packs Material and Scheduling Team and responsible for all raw material planning activities in the plant; specifically,
- Ensuring raw material planning activities for long term requirements with a weekly and monthly cycle activities
- Ensuring that raw materials are ordered inline with production plan requirements
- Scope of Activity: Ensure on time and in full Raw Material supplies aligned with production plan requirements, Contact with Supplier to inform them for future perspective. Balancing service, inventory and cost in line with targets.
What You Will Deliver
- Providing up-to date material requirements planning over mainly Kinaxis and SAP and analyzing short and long-term forecasts/production plans to optimize supply plans in accordance with Supply chain strategic plans and financial key performance indicators.
- Ensuring correct requirement visibility over Kinaxis and ensuring raw material order submissions to suppliers for additive and base oil materials. Handling Purchase Order creation and submitting the PO letters to suppliers.
- Improving raw material forecast accuracy in line with targets. Ensuring to fulfill designed KPIs and balanced scorecard.
- Weekly reviewing raw material days of coverages to capture additional qty requirements / cancellations. 3 months of time fence is controlled and balanced every week.
- Preparing Raw Material Projections by taking planning outputs, stocks and consumptions. Coordinating necessary actions to achieve the determined targets.
- Leading weekly raw material alerts meeting to provide visibility for service and address actions to relevant teams.
- Preparing and sharing Raw Material Base oil and additive forecasts to suppliers and global supply chain customers over Kinaxis outputs. Sharing / calling out any potential shortage risks.
- Running scenario planning where needed to provide plans in regards of purchase, inventory and availability.
- Ensuring inventory and purchase data working for every cycle, providing data with full projection when needed.
- Reviewing high days of coverage materials, slob and excess materials at least monthly. Building solid action plans to deplete stock or ensuring return activities where needed.
- Coordinating SKU Management process for phase-in phase-out (defining PIPO on Kinaxis) components by closely working with marketing, technology and all project departments. Optimize plans with customers so as to minimize write-off stock value and tracking required actions with them.
- Providing new raw material entry info to related teams in regards of pack size, sample etc..
- Giving direction for production version / BOM changes to ensure service in line with Purchase & Inventory Plan Strategies. (Base Oil Optionality etc.)
- Tracking formula changes requests and project transitions and coordinating necessary actions with their team and sharing outputs with relevant teams. In case of any delay, sharing the impact with related customers.
- Attending / leading weekly monthly calls with local and global customers and ensuring required actions expected from the role (SWAT project meetings, RM alert meeting, S&OE meeting, Supply Review meeting, global RM forecasting meeting, TD call)
- Following up RM allocations for Castrol Gemlik by closely working with Procurement team. Ensuring purchase order loadings from supplier and helping to provide required documentation. (PO follow up, tracking report update, invoice, ATR etc..)
- Coordinating monthly base oil vessel nominations and transportations by taking account firmed requirements and expected arrival time. Sharing critical information with relevant teams in case of any changes related with vessel and its due date.
- Checking monthly base oil tank capacities before vessel arrival.
- Ensuring correct master data planning parameters to have best fit and optimum planning outputs. Running weekly master data sanity checks, update and set up where needed.
- Quarterly running ABC classification and safety stock for raw materials and adjust system where needed.
- Engaging with plant planning and operations team in regards of Tank Allocations and for relevant tank change suggestions.
- Controlling stock positions of obsolete articles and providing correct articles and their related batches are in the correct SLoc’s and also ensuring those articles are in the Appreciation Commission list which are coordinated with Finance team.
- Asking counting for physical stock where needed to ensure correct stock amount on system.
- Controlling and reporting SLED informations of RM components and sharing with Quality team to take required actions on time.
- Understanding and applying processes and requirements established in BP's Operating Management System (OMS) for safe and reliable operations.
- Managing or acting as project team member for Raw materials related project activities.
- Enforce planning capabilities regularly with Continuous Improvement Approach and improve Supplier resilience to prevent supplier related disruptions.
- Preparing the required reports according to customer requirements such as Ford and sharing them with relevant customers.
Education
What you will need to be successful
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience is preferred (mainly Industrial Engineering)
Experience Required
- Very good command in English both written and spoken.
- High level of analytical skills is required.
- At least 3-4 years of supply planning or raw material planning experience.
- Ability to work over planning tools and systems.
- SAP, Kinaxis knowledge is plus.
- Advanced level of planning parameters and methodologies required.
- High level of HSSE and Quality culture and experience
- Good interpersonal relations management and ability to influence, inspire change.
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage with all levels in the company and external parties. Good ability in local global customer management.
- Good task prioritization and close follow-up skills are needed.
- Time management and customer concern knowledge is key.
- Used to work in a multicultural environment.
- Lubricants or similar industry experience is advantageous.
- Overall Supply Chain experience and understanding is a plus.
