The incumbent will be responsible for managing teams of quality assurance and control and ensuring the Quality of Products within the prescribed cost parameters, meeting all types of Compliances, maintaining proper records & MIS. Key Result Areas for the Incumbent - Process Responsibilities  Lead all sourcing strategies from the quality perspective  Ensure the maintenance and implementation of quality standards and parameters  Ensuring quality standards with the continuous analysis of quality reports and ensure the preventive and corrective actions thereof  Leading and Coaching Quality Function  Expert technical development of samples from first fit through to shipment  Deep understanding of brand quality standards by team and through to vendor base and corrective / preventive measures to be taken as per prescribed quality standards  Trouble-shooting to BIBA Head Office and factory base to drive efficient sample management and meet all deadlines  Support for design during design Brief Meetings to ensure that creative brief is executed correctly  Full and accurate documentation of the quality processes / standards / definition  Ensure correct systems usage by team  Ensuring comprehensive quality control  Lead a Team of QC to ensure Brands are proactively and effectively supported  Directs the research and development of new materials ensuring fabrications are in accordance with brand aesthetic, lead-time and cost strategy.  Strategize with QA and Vendors on exceptions management issues (late deliveries, quality issues or cost escalations)  Timely Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) final checks accompanied by the correct documentation  Technical Department - Review Daily Samples Audits  QC Department - Review failed Audits and Corrective Action Plans (CAP)  Lab Testing - Review Failed FPT & GPT and work on CAP  Fabric Audit - Analyze key metrics and Closely monitor on all Quality Issues with stake holders  DC Audit - Review Failed Audit and CAP  RTS – Review Failed Audits and CAP  Determining trainings for Production, Quality & Vendors for performance improvement  Able to formulate and design SOP & Manuals - People Management Responsibilities  Establishes and maintains relationships with QC team and factory for smooth transition from the development to production perspective  Consistently partners with Merchandising teams on fabric research and development related issues  Set, align and communicate departmental goals, convey positive and realistic expectations to the team  Lead and coach teams and staff to help meet functional and financial goals  Monitor employee performance and provide feedback  Develop team through formal and on-the-job training Key Behavioral competencies required to perform this role - Essential 1. Good experience in production planning 2. Knowledge of fabrics and accessories Key Performance Indicators 1. Technical Department - Measure Samples Audits and results 2. QC Department - Measure Defects and Audits Pass/Fail 3. Lab Testing - Measure Failed FPT & GPT 4. Fabric Audit - Measure Failed Fabrics and causes 5. DC Audit - Measure Failed Audits 6. RTS - Measure Failed Audits 7. Accurate samples on time for meetings 8. Samples sealed in line with critical path to drive on-time production 9. Full elimination of quality rejections at sikri warehouse 10. Full reduction in qc expenses (target) The candidate would have to interact and manage the following stakeholders  Able to build and cultivate a collaborative relationship with HOD and Vendors In order to be considered for the role the ideal candidate should have:  Graduate with extensive knowledge of Apparel process  15 years+ experience in retail and should have been working in Delhi/NCR from last 5 years  Proven capability in premium level quality control for the retail sector  Strong retail business acumen with keen understanding of logistics, planning, merchandising, production and store operations  Able to find solutions using the resources at their disposal and effectively advocates for additional resources when necessary  Proven ability to train and develop high performing teams Show more Show less
