Role Overview

QA Lead

Key Responsibilities

1. QA Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, ensuring best practices, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
• Define and drive overall QA strategy, test planning, and execution across projects.
• Participate in requirements and architecture reviews with a focus on testability and automation strategy.
• Estimate testing efforts, assess quality risks, and ensure timely, high-quality releases.
• Capture QA metrics and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

2. Test Planning, Execution & Automation

• Design comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.
• Develop and maintain automated regression suites and test harnesses using

  Selenium and Appium

  .
• Integrate test automation within CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Conduct exploratory, regression, and non-functional testing to ensure performance and stability.
• Ensure effective defect reporting, tracking, and closure using

  JIRA

  and

  TestRail

  .
• Collaborate with development and product teams to align QA outcomes with business objectives.

3. Continuous Improvement & Quality Engineering

• Continuously enhance test automation frameworks and methodologies for better efficiency and coverage.
• Advocate for non-functional testing areas including

  Performance (JMeter)

  ,

  Security

  , and

  Accessibility

  testing.
• Maintain clear documentation of testing procedures, tools, and frameworks.
• Promote a quality-first mindset across engineering teams through active collaboration and process improvement.

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in

  Selenium

  ,

  Appium

  , and

  Java

  .
• Proficiency in

  SQL

  ,

  Git

  ,

  JIRA

  , and

  TestRail

  (or equivalent tools).
• Good understanding of

  STLC

  SDLC

  Agile methodologies

• Experience in setting up automation frameworks from scratch.
• Exposure to

  performance testing

• Knowledge of mobile and web application testing, including usability, regression, localization, and system testing.

Must-Have

• Proven experience leading QA teams and managing project-level quality.
• Strong understanding of automation frameworks, manual testing, and testing methodologies.
• Ability to design and implement test automation strategies aligned with business needs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Experience in

  API automation

  (RestAssured, Postman).
• Familiarity with

  CI/CD pipelines

  and cloud testing tools.
• Awareness of

  security

  standards.
• Experience using or integrating

  AI-driven test frameworks

  for smarter automation, predictive analysis, or self-healing tests.

Preferred (Good to Have)

• Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 3 to 7 years of industry experience
• Experience in fintech domain will be a plus
