About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team at TechVerito. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, with expertise in Selenium with Java and API testing using Rest Assured. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts. Beyond defect identification, you will play a key role in shaping our quality assurance processes from the outset, working closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders in an agile, collaborative environment. Your contributions will help us maintain our standards of excellence and deliver seamless, high-performing solutions to our clients.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer, with a strong track record in automation and API testing. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Selenium with Java for UI automation and have substantial experience in API testing with Rest Assured. Familiarity with microservice testing, including integration, contract, and fault tolerance testing, is essential. Knowledge of performance and security testing practices will be advantageous. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively collaborate and influence cross-functional teams. A mindset focused on craftsmanship, ownership, and continuous improvement is vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of quality management documents, overseeing the implementation of QA processes and plans to maintain high standards.
- Conduct team meetings to gather feedback, optimize testing processes, and address issues related to QA tools and methodologies.
- Execute comprehensive test plans, participate in developing testing programs, and perform in-depth research to identify, analyze, and resolve defects.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product support teams to review requirements, design detailed test cases, and ensure coverage of all scenarios.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts; track and document bugs; and monitor quality metrics to assess testing effectiveness.
- Perform due diligence, estimations, reviews, and contribute to the design of customer requirements to ensure quality from the outset.
- Stay updated with testing tools and methodologies, continuously enhancing testing strategies and automation frameworks.
Must-Have Skills
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience with Selenium and Java for UI automation testing.
- Strong expertise in API testing, particularly with Rest Assured.
- Proven experience in microservice testing, including integration, contract, and fault tolerance testing.
- Familiarity with performance testing and security testing practices to ensure comprehensive quality coverage.
