Job Overview:

QA Automation Architect

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end QA activities across multiple mortgage-related applications (LOS, POS, servicing, underwriting, etc.).
• Develop and maintain robust

  Python-based automation frameworks

  for UI, API, and backend testing.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers to understand mortgage business workflows and translate them into test scenarios.
• Own the QA strategy, planning, and execution for new features, releases, and regression cycles.
• Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Ensure test coverage for compliance, regulatory, and risk-related scenarios specific to mortgage lending.
• Mentor and guide a team of automation engineers; conduct code reviews and enforce QA best practices.
• Analyze production issues, participate in root cause analysis, and recommend preventive actions.
• Report testing metrics, track defect trends, and work with stakeholders to drive quality improvements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 15+ years in QA/testing, with at least 6+ years in a QA leadership role.
• Strong programming skills in

  Python

  (mandatory).
• Strong expertise in test automation tools/frameworks such as: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright | TestNG, JUnit, BDD (Cucumber) | REST Assured, Postman, SoapUI for API testing
• Proven experience building or maintaining automation frameworks using:

  PyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework, Behave (BDD) | Requests / HTTPx

  for API testing
• Strong experience in the

  mortgage domain

  , including systems such as: Loan Origination Systems (LOS) | Point of Sale platforms (POS) | Mortgage Servicing Systems | Encompass, Black Knight, Calyx, ICE Mortgage Technology (nice to have)
• Knowledge of mortgage lifecycle: application, underwriting, approval, funding, closing, servicing.
• Experience testing data pipelines, ETL processes, and working with databases (SQL, PLSQL).
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools and test integration (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and QA processes in regulated environments.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Proficient in test management tools (JIRA, ADO, Zephyr, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.    

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISTQB or similar certification.
• Familiarity with US mortgage compliance (e.g., RESPA, TRID, HMDA).
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience testing data-driven applications or financial calculations (e.g., amortization, APR, DTI, LTV).
